POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Last night, I brought my beloved lasagna to a Samhain gathering with a community of women, and we burned some shit. Literally.

We each brought a beloved family recipe and two items for the altar: one representing the season we’re leaving, and one representing what we’re calling in.

@alixandra.burrows who I worked with many moons ago, invited me. I hadn’t realized how deeply I’d missed her presence and energy until I was back in it. Sisterhood is one of my favorite things.

I’ve been thinking about what I’m ready to release. Where I hold myself back. How much energy goes into wondering how I’ll be received instead of trusting what I have to say.

In my life. In my relationships. In my business.

And this is the thought I’m carrying into this next season:

“The sun never worries if it will run out of light. It just shines.” 🦁✨

More of that, please.

Is she calling you?

The woman underneath all the noise, the expectations, the roles, the old stories, the ways you learned to leave yourself in order to belong.

Can you hear her?

We will begin Sovereign Woman with water.

A sacred clearing. A cleansing. A baptism. An opportunity to wash away what you no longer want to carry and create space for what is ready to be born.

There is something powerful about beginning this way. Before we do anything else, we release. We let the water hold what we are ready to leave behind.

And then we begin.

If she’s calling you, maybe it’s time to answer.

Somewhere along the way, we started confusing a full life with a hurried one.
But the most beautiful moments still ask the same thing of us:
slow down, look up, stay awhile.
Maybe that’s why I love the ritual of afternoon tea.
It reminds us that making time for one another is never wasted time. #AfternoonTea #TeaEtiquette #ModernEtiquette #LoveLisaBradshaw

There comes a point when knowing who you are is no longer enough.

You want to live from her.

To trust what you know. To honor what you want. To hear the opinions, expectations and desires of the people around you without losing the sound of your own voice.

To belong deeply to yourself while still allowing yourself to love, receive, be supported, be changed, and be in relationship with others.

This is the work of sovereignty.

Not becoming untouchable or independent. Becoming so rooted in yourself that you can meet what comes without leaving yourself in the process.

This November, we’re gathering in the desert of Southern Utah for Sovereign Woman—an intimate, luxurious experience devoted to coming home to the woman within you and living from what she already knows.

For the last twelve years, one of the most important practices in my life has been two words: Ask Yourself.

It started because I was so used to paying attention to what everyone else wanted and needed that I had stopped listening to myself. So I started small. What sounds good for dinner? Do I actually want to go? What does my body need today? And then I practiced listening to the answer.

I’ve done it thousands of times since then, and somewhere inside all of that asking and listening, I became more rooted in myself. My intuition is loud now because I listen to it. I know what a yes feels like in my body. I know what fear and urgency feel like. I know what I want, what I value, and what feels true for me, even when I don’t know what happens next.

That is what I mean when I talk about being so full of yourself that you inhabit your own life.

Not full of yourself in the way we were warned against as women. Full of yourself as in you are actually in there. Your wants. Your values. Your knowing. Your desires. Your voice. You.

And because of that, you can trust who you are while still trusting who you are becoming.

Sovereignty doesn’t mean I don’t need anyone or that I have everything figured out. I want people. I want partnership and friendship and mentors and community. I want to receive wisdom. I want love to change me. I just don’t want to leave myself in order to have any of it.

That is what we’re stepping into at Sovereign Woman. Not becoming someone else, but learning to live more fully from the woman who is already there.

If you feel the call to step into this with me, I’d love to have you join us at Sovereign Woman Retreat

For the last decade, I’ve had the honor of gathering women at the Creative Woman Retreat.

We’ve laughed until our cheeks hurt. We’ve cried. We’ve healed. We’ve remembered pieces of ourselves we thought we’d lost. We’ve created beautiful friendships and watched women leave different than they arrived.

And for the last few years, one question has come up again and again.
“What’s next?”

This is.

Today we’re opening registration for the very first Sovereign Woman Retreat.

This isn’t another Creative Woman Retreat.
It’s what comes after.

It’s for the woman who’s done so much healing that she’s no longer asking, “Who am I?”

She’s asking, “How do I live as her?”

How do I trust myself?

How do I stop abandoning what I know is true?

How do I choose myself without guilt?

How do I create a life that actually reflects the woman I’ve become?

This November, under the New Moon in Scorpio, we’ll gather in the desert of Southern Utah for three days of devotion.

We’ll slow down.
We’ll reconnect with our bodies.
We’ll cleanse old narratives.
We’ll reconnect with the wisdom of the Earth.
We’ll release what no longer belongs.

And through ceremony, fire, nature, and deep conversation, we’ll practice becoming women who belong to ourselves.

If you’ve been waiting for what’s next… this is your invitation.

November 8–10
Guided by myself and @alixandra.burrows and hosted by @heather3littles

We’re intentionally keeping this retreat intimate because this work deserves space.

If you feel your body lean in as you read this, trust that.
