Meet our first guest, @alkfaen! (they/them)

Usually based in Berlin & Melbourne, Xani is visiting this week and will be working from FORT on the 10th and 13th.

We aren't 100% ready to have a full house with our flash day yet, but if you book in with them, you'll be one of the first to get tattooed in the space 😻

Contact artists directly to book

See ya soon Xani ✈️

💗 🐩 CHIQUITA 🐩 💗

@alkfaen (they/them) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Berlin since 2012. Through the manipulation of tattoo, poetry, film and performance, they investigate themes of androgyny, queerness, identity, gender, (non)humanness, surrealism, dreams, fantasy and the other. The tattoo work of Alkfaen embodies a certain sense of nostalgia and comedy. Almost maudlin faces, poignant appendages and ephemeral flora and fauna, sit alongside ogling and absurd adaptations of traditional Old School tattoo motifs.

Come next saturday and check out Alkfaen's live flash tattoo!

Phhh I can’t really begin to describe the value of this year without going into a monologue of the past 4 years. It’s the first one since I left London and possibly way before that, that I feel truly confident and in control.

Some of you deserve gold stars ⭐️:
@caroline_fayette for always putting trust in me and being my mentor for almost 4 years.
@emmalolabodard for the emotional support during Skyes surgery and forever after that.
@dianagabrielli for coming back to work with me and putting your all in after everything we went through.
@drbarbarasturm team for putting trust in my process and always pushing me while supporting me.
@swoodseh for bombarding my life with the little sister I always wanted and showing me a world of new things.
@chtimusic for keeping me laughing on a daily basis and pushing me to be honest with myself.
@nefeld_katerina for being one of the strongest I ever met. I watched you leave your world and accept mine.
@mjbonnefoy and the rest of my family for EVERYTHING… just everything!

I’ve met so many new people this year I know will be around forever. You know who you are. And to the friends I need to reconnect with again, have patience we will see each other soon. As I say I can not list all the people who have impacted me this year, I am thankful and most of all PROUD of you all. The world is crazy and life is hard, we are just trying to navigate our way through it. Y’all doing a real good job.

I know one thing will never change. There will always be… DOGS!
