✂️ Tufting is the fun part, but carving is where the magic happens! 😮‍💨✨ The scissor bundle from All Things Effy has made the most time-consuming part of rug making so much easier. Giving my rugs those crisp lines and that clean finish I love! 🧶💕

Shop yours at Allthingseffy.com and use my discount code at checkout to save! ✨

No such thing as too much yarn 🧶 ✨

Welcome to Getting my Life (and art) in Order. Episode 1.

This series for me is a new way of working, not only a reset for my studio but also a reset with the relationship that I have with my art practice. I need to slow down, I need to take breaks, and over the past few years I haven’t given myself that. And overall it has made me sad that I haven’t had the time to share the behind the scenes with you as much, and to share ME. So here I am, it is just the beginning!

I hope you enjoy this new series, this new Felicia 🙌

It was never about making pictures with yarn..

It was always the texture 💜

Introducing: He Taonga i te Kūaha
Treasures at the Doorstep
Size: 70cm x 80cm
Backed on to plywood ready to hang.
AVAILABLE NOW - DM TO DISCUSS

Only metres from my doorstep, the whenua offers an abundance of beauty. Kōwhai, pōhutukawa, kawakawa and mānuka come together in this piece, each drawn from the native plants growing within the landscape I call home.
He Taonga i te Kūaha, is a reminder that taonga do not always need to be searched for. They are already there; growing beside us, grounding us, and connecting us to the whenua beneath our feet.

Ending my con season with Sydney Oz Comic Con! 💫@ozcomiccon
Previously i’ve been on Artist Alley but decided last minute to switch to an exhibitor booth and it was such a good experience 🥹
It was so fun I love seeing people’s reactions when it’s the first time they’ve seen a tiny wall rug 🤣

Thank you to everyone who took one home! If you missed out stay tuned on my website for an end of year sale drop 👀

And of course I wouldn’t be able to do what I do without the support of @all_things_effy supplying me the best of the best tufting materials and tools 🤩 So if you wanna try this craft yourself, that’s your one stop shop! 💜

Mission Update 👀 get this rug to Dave Chappelle by Oct. 23?

Dave Chappelle’s name is on the frame — and a touch of red, making great progress 👌🏾🧶

Tag @davechappelle Dave Chappelle and help me get this on his radar 😂

Do we think I can pull this off by October 23rd?

My new collection comes to life this weekend at NestFest, step into my Signature Room titled “Room to Breathe”, a wild and wonderful space of meditation and reflection. 💚

Thank you @nestermagazine for the opportunity to create this space for people to experience, I truly had so much fun with the creative process and the challenge of filling a room full of tactile art!

I also had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with local artists for my space, from the beautiful upholstery and furniture pieces, to custom ceramics and an original lampshade. @adfupholstery @the_new_modernist @kohaiceramics @arbocar

You can find the wall hangings and rugs now available on my website for purchase! I’ll be adding the draped furniture pieces next week, but please reach out with any questions or inquires!

More behind the scenes coming soon!
