Beauty Labour. Hacking the algorithmic Body
@3caberlin

Digital publics create spaces of discipline where faces and bodies are dissected, measured, manipulated, and judged by presumed value. Featuring works by allapopp, Henriette Sabroe Ebbesen, Lia Meret Lehmkuhl, and Julia Rogosin, the exhibition at 3CA Berlin’s crane hall examines the production of bodies within neoliberal and algorithmic logics through video, installation, and photography.

NOTHING ABOUT MEMORY IS NEUTRAL!

Our festival proposes transgressive memory as both method and principle.

We regard transgressive memory as a mode of remembrance that questions not only institutional authority and dissolves the border between documentary and fiction but also acknowledges the complicity of technology in shaping collective consciousness.

Over two days, the festival brings together more than 50 artists, filmmakers, game designers, researchers, curators, musicians and theorists, who examine memory not as something fixed or complete, but as a living process, which we constantly negotiate.

The exhibitions, performances, screenings, workshops and talks challenge established forms of commemoration and memorialisation by focussing on artistic and critical contributions to memory culture and its socio-political environment.

The works presented propose new ways of building relationships between histories, technologies and urgent questions of our contemporary, mediated global society shaped by new ways of seeing and hearing.

With art works, performances and talks by Bashir Bashir, caner teker, Gabriel Massan, Göksu Kunak, Forensic Architecture, allapopp (TATAR:KYZLAR), Dan Hicks, Giselle Beiguelman, Hussein Shikha, Royce NG and many more.

Come for the exhibition, catch a performance, play a video game, join a conversation, stay for the music or participate in a workshop!

With contributions by CTM Festival, transmediale and VideoClub.

A lot is happening, so we figured it’s time for one post that has it all.
Save it. Share it. Pick your day or your days and find us in Berlin-Zehlendorf next week. Right now, we’re deep in the build-up: exhibitions are taking shape, works are arriving, spaces are transforming, and there’s a lot cooking behind the scenes. We can’t wait to finally open the doors and see what happens once all of it comes together. 7 exhibitions, guided tours, a panel talk, performances, readings, sound, open studios, food & drinks: all across one week.
See you next week at RWK Studios.
RSVP for the Panel Talk + Guided Tours via the link in our bio.

What forms of memory gather around a table?

We’re excited to welcome TATAR KYZ:LAR (@tatarkyzlar) as part of the Transgressive Memory Festival 2026 performance programme with a very special ceremony.

What memories, languages, and rituals come alive when we gather around a table?
TATAR KYZ:LAR (@tatarkyzlar) are part of the Transgressive Memory Festival 2026 performance programme with a very special ceremony.

Created by allapopp (@allapopp) and Dinara Rasuleva (@pustotalitarism), TATAR KYZ:LAR is a punk electronic music and poetry performative project that explores what it means to reclaim and reimagine identity following the loss, displacement, or fragmentation of native culture and language. Bringing together ritual, poetry, electronic sound, and an immersive game space, the work opens a shared setting in which memory can be performed, negotiated, and collectively reshaped.

allapopp is a Berlin-based interdisciplinary media and performance artist from Tatarstan whose work spans digital art, music, performance, installation, and mixed-reality formats.

Dinara Rasuleva is a Berlin-based writer and poet_ess born in Kazan, Tatarstan, whose multilingual practice moves across Tatar, Russian, English, and German to explore language as a space of memory, loss, and resistance.

Together, TATAR KYZ:LAR invite audiences into a space where inherited histories can be revisited otherwise, and where collective rituals may offer new ways of imagining belonging.

Reclaiming Data - Art and Memory in the Age of Digital Archives

Symposium: June 12-13, 2026 @flutgrabenberlin
Exhibition: June 12-21, 2026 @flutgrabenberlin

We are more than excited to announce the first details of our collaborative project: Reclaiming Data. The symposium and exhibition explored how Al-driven archives and platform infrastructures are reshaping collective memory because - how we archive today is how we will remember tomorrow.

Over two days (June 12-13), we brought together artists, researchers, activists, and cultural institutions to examine data sets as contemporary memory infrastructures. The program combined synthetic historiography, reverse archaeology, and artistic-activist strategies of reappropriation by conceptualizing counter-archives and experimenting with alternative forms of memory-making.

We are particularly happy that Reclaiming Data has been integrated into the curriculum of the Master's program Design & Computation and that students are actively involved through their studio work.

A collaboration between @dock_digital_berlin, @new_practice, @designandcomputation and @ecommemoration (Körber-Stiftung), supported by the @technologiestiftung and @centerforliterature.
Curated and organized by @jonnybixbongers.
