Practice will always meet you exactly where you are.

Lately, that’s looked like a lot of building, a lot of moving pieces, and a lot of trust in the unseen. And through it all, still practicing.

I think there’s something so meaningful in the fact that we call yoga a practice. Not something to master or complete, but something we return to over and over again as we change and as life changes. Some seasons feel expansive and outward, and some are quieter and more internal. Both are necessary. Both are part of it.

This season for me has been a lot of behind the scenes. A lot of devotion to what’s being created before it is fully visible. And it has deepened my relationship to the practice in ways I did not expect.

So getting to step into Stephanie’s arm balance workshop felt like such a gift. Thank you, friend. Moments like that feel especially meaningful in seasons where so much is unfolding off the mat as well.

There is a lot I have been building and tending to quietly. Things that matter deeply to me. I am looking forward to sharing them with you when the time is right. And I have a feeling that’ll be very soon ;)

500 hours of certified training. 7 years of teaching. Over 2,200 classes led.

But numbers can’t hold the transformation. The people. The tears. The breath. The way a room softens when someone finally feels safe in their own body.

Yoga found me long before I knew its name. It continues to guide me, break me open, and remind me what’s real.

We’re living in a unique moment. More than ever, I see people becoming curious about their spirit, their path, and their purpose. And honestly, that gives me so much hope.

In The Great Work of Your Life by Stephen Cope, a favorite from my 300-hour training, he writes:
“The real question is not: What should I do with my life? But rather: What is life trying to do through me?”

Ready to share my yoga story (: …

Yoga has always been a sacred space for me, something that I kept more to myself than anything else. Yoga is a space that I can free myself, the tensions that build up, the pressure that needs release, the strength in mind, body, and spirit. My soul connection to what I always felt and knew was greater and bigger than I yet to know.

Starting competitive cheer from a ripe age of 6 made my body believe that the only way to feel good was to put it to work and stretch it. When I stepped away from competition I still needed that, and yoga was what I found, but for that reason only. But DAMN… it did so much more than that…

I’ve been practicing going on 9 years, whether that meant purely pranayama, studies, asanas everywhere I was, studio time, hard work and soft work… it’s always been there. Yoga has showed up for me as a practice to keep my feet on the ground and my head still in the air. Because with yoga I feel free. Free to be me, free to breathe, free to take leaps of faith and forgiveness along the way. I took up YTTs to learn, grow and deepen my practice for me…but… It has always been difficult for me to share that openly, and I really never have, even though it is so prevalent in my personal life. But then, I met them.

THESE PEOPLE. THESE GORGEOUS HUMAN BEINGS. They trusted me, I trusted them, we trusted each other to bring us all back to ourselves, back home and back to each other. Beautiful people living and loving their songs of god, their sacred vocations, their flow of life.

I am in love with these hearts and minds and the energy they brought

Oh and hey… now I’m a 500 hour certified yoga teacher… thanks to the incredible @kestyoga , @kierstie_payge and @renaemalone alongside the dream yogi fam @becomeayogi and it’s time to share all this love to your mats too <3
