Pride - A book I always recommend: The Wind Weaver, I absolutely loved this book from start to finish.

Greed - A book I borrowed: Phantasma, I borrowed it and I loved it so I ordered it for my collection hahaha

Wrath - A book I didn’t like: Iron flame, I almost DNF this book (did put the book down for a while before picking it back up) but I don’t DNF books but this one was bad for me at least

Lust - A book I bought based on the cover: Watch me, this book is gorgeous I just needed it for my collection.

Sloth - A book stuck on my TBR: One dark Window, idk why I just keep pushing this book off I hear nothing book good things

Envy - A book I’d love to live in: A Court of Wings and Ruin, please take me to Velaris hahahah

Gluttony - A book I’ve read more than once: Blood of Hercules, this book is so good I love the banter in this book, the story is amazing and the characters.

✋🏻 Five Finger Challenge ✋🏻

Happy Sunday, lovelies!🥰 I’m back with another challenge, courtesy of tags from @thescorpiolibrary and @katiepatatieee_reads ✨

♦️ Pinky — A book you promise to read soon. Sword Catcher by Cassandra Clare. This book has been staring me down from my bookshelf and I fear I won’t be able to resist for much longer 🤭

♣️ Ring — A book with a character you’d marry. The Brothers Hawthorne by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. Literally obsessed with all of the Hawthorne Brothers, so this was an easy choice — need a Nash & Libby centered book for sure🤠

♦️Middle — A book with a character you hate. The Women by Kristin Hannah. Absolutely love this book, absolutely despise Rye Walsh. He ruined this book for me a bit.

♣️ Pointer — A book you’ll always recommend. Phantasma by Kaylie Smith (and Enchantra for that matter 😍). I’m obsessed with these books. Kaylie Smith has quickly become one of my favorite authors. I’m so excited for what’s to come next, but I can’t recommend Phantasma and Enchantra enough for my fellow fantasy romance/romantasy girlies.

♦️Thumb — A book you give two thumbs up. The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie. A fantasy masterpiece. Can’t say enough good things about this one. It’s a slower read, but extremely worth it!

Thank you to @_chapter35 for the tag! This is just the type of inspiration I needed on this fine Friday☺️

I have been struggling so much this month. I am so completely overwhelmed by work and personal commitments that I haven’t even made it through a single book, and the month is half-over. I haven’t read any books. I haven’t written a single review. This is some of the only content I have been able to make so far. And while that’s totally ok, because a lot of my time this month has been spent doing plenty of other things I love, I’ve also been finding it difficult to not be doing more of this work, which brings me so much joy.

So, today, I took a deep breath and spent an hour on creating this image and getting the perfect shot because this is something that is really important to me. Today, the other items on my to do list could wait. Though this is not always (or usually) the case, I wanted to share this as a reminder to myself or anyone else who may need it: sometimes it’s ok to put yourself first and prioritize what makes you happiest amidst the chaos that is life. 🌼
