I am still completely floating after the incredible Virtual Launch Experience for “I AM” by Zenzi Hodge! 🌟

When Zenzi reached out with an incredibly tight turnaround for her live broadcast, we didn’t let time stop us. Instead of rushing to the stores, we went straight into her closet to curate the perfect look for her time on set with host Alli Bourne-Vanneck!

As an image consultant, styling for a professional broadcast means every visual detail has to be highly intentional. Here was our strategy for Zenzi’s look:

✨The Studio Sync: We selected green floral tones that beautifully complemented the warm wood, yellow seating and geometric backdrops at Charlotte Podcast Studio.
✨The Book Connection: The vibrant, bold green patterns were directly inspired by the stunning Caribbean artwork inside her new children’s book.

God’s promise 💍❤️— With a heart that’s overflowing with gratitude, I’m excited to share that Pat & I are engaged 💍❤️✨🥹!!!

Doc planned the MOST beautiful engagement! He’d been planning for months 🙏🏽.
.
About a year ago, we stood under this beautiful tree in Freedom Park. We talked about our dreams and building a life together in Charlotte.
.
Fast forward and he took me to this same spot and tree 🌳. He said the most beautiful things and got down on one knee 🥹✨.
.
When I said yes, people in the park began cheering! Around us and across the pond.
.
Then Doc said he had another surprise.
I looked across the pond and there were my best friends Ashley-Ruth Moolenaar Bernier and Tina Miller Lloyd 😱🥹!! They and their husbands James and Rhys had driven to be a part of the moment!
.
When I thought the moment couldn’t get better— Tina handed me her phone. She had my parents on FaceTime in the VI 🇻🇮! They saw the whole thing! And it was Papa Rich’s 70th birthday!!
.
Doc ❤️💋, words can fully express the gratitude I am for you and building our life together. From the first day we met, sitting right next to you, I’m by your side. You are my best friend, love of life, golf partner, doctor, and fiancé ❤️💍

I used to think sobriety was hard.

Then I realized that was really my mind and ego trying to protect me 👀. Convincing me sobriety was “hard.”

Because internally I knew what life was life as a drinker. There was a “safety” in what felt familiar.

My life, my friends, how I socialized— all familiar with alcohol 🍷.

But sobriety? Who knew what was on the other side of that?! 😬 That’s not familiar. That doesn’t feel easy.

So the mind and ego tries to convince you it’s too hard to do. That you’ll fail. Kept you in that fear.

But often, the miracle is FOUND in we are avoiding .

Because the alternative is a life we don’t want. Feeling the downside to drinking. Going round and around 😵‍💫…

If you walk through that fear of the unknown-and choose sobriety, you may be surprised.

Is it “cake walk” no. But when you start the feel the benefits of a sober lifestyle, the good outweighs the bad.

One day you’ll realize you didn’t think about alcohol.

One day you’ll think to yourself “This feels easy.” ✌🏽

Just gotta take that leap of faith💫.

Lol— An actual (but brief) conversation this week 😅.
Negative thoughts aren’t something I always “box away” if they pop up. I used to be afraid of negative thoughts. Like— Ahhh 😬🙏🏽. But like a compass 🧭— they can guide us to deep parts of ourselves to heal and feel better.
.
Part of my spiritual journey has been understanding
1) Why a negative thought is coming up and,
2) Does my spirit/ inner child need to be seen and heard right now?
.
This helps me navigate how to shift and turn something from negative to empowered. Sometimes the “little girl” inside just needs to be reminded she can do it 👍🏽. Sometimes the negative thought is just the subconscious trying to protect us from what we fear in that moment 🙏🏽. I hold her. Tell her she’s ok. We got this ❤️.

But sometimes it’s a full stop like “NOPE, we good and ain’t going there.” Or as we say in the VI 🇻🇮 “Not Tuh-Day” 🙅🏽‍♀️😘.
When the energy feels lighter, but the negative thought pops up like a 🦟— I’m like NOPE, move on…
.
When I quit drinking, I dived into subconscious work. I’m forever grateful to teachers I’ve learned from. And meditative practices that have helped me connect to self ✨.
.
It’s a lifelong practice—full of peaks, epiphanies, and self discoveries. My favorite is when inner work is put so bluntly and makes you laugh 😂
