Sunday Funday @apex_powerlifting APEX CLASSIC APL 5.

So proud to be cheering on this weapon of an athlete, Alicia, and the incredible work of her coach & team, this is exactly the kind of collaboration I love being part of.

Huge shout-out to @peninsulabarbell the way they’ve built out her training and competition performance is unreal.

Alicia sought me out to come on board as part of her support crew, specifically to handle her sports nutrition and mindset work around the plan her coaches create.

Across this @aplpowerlifting prep we’ve:
• Matched her nutrition periodisation to the training phases her coach programmed
• Dialled in competition diet & fuelling so she can perform when it matters most
• Tracked biometrics & biofeedback each week to add extra insight to coaching decisions
• Used mindset frameworks to help her handle nerves, pressure and self-doubt on and off the platform.

This sits under the performance nutrition and athlete mindset arm of my business, where I support competitive natural athletes across physique and strength sports, field and court-based team sports, and endurance events.

Grateful that Alicia @alloyx.pl trusted me with this part of her prep and to be behind the scenes helping athletes perform at their best.

Check out some of her lifts on her way to victory, and best female on the day.

The ladies performed very well with 3 of them going over 450 glossies with the 10th place at 404.33.⁣
⁣
We always knew we had a very strong light weight ladies competition and this result does reflect that with only one in the top 10 here over 82.5kg.⁣

Ladies lifting some big ass heavy weight, yes please!⁣
⁣
Some sensational totals by the ladies with 8 going 500kg+.⁣
⁣
Kalina was the front runner with a huge 630kg total. She also missed a 292.5kg squat on her 4th attempt to beat the GPC National & World Record and the all time Australia squat record. ⁣She did manage 285kg though - insane lifting!
⁣
Overall the ladies put on a brilliant show.

What an absolute pleasure it has been covering these ladies nutrition along side @peninsulabarbell who does their powerlifting programming.

I am so extremely proud of both @alloyx.pl and @samanthawolfexx

Both competing in the 67.5kg weigh class today, these weapons put in a lot of hard work over the last few months and it shows because they are literally so strong and jacked as fuck!

@alloyx has achieved some amazing things over the last year. She is programmed by @peninsulabarbell and her nutrition is covered by HUSLA.

She is also mega strong having just recently hit some huge PBs at 67.5kg bodyweight:
Squat 180kg
Bench 87.5kg
Deadlift 200kg

Over the last 38 weeks we have created a nutritional strategy which has really solidified some great eating habits and allowed Alicia to make weight and be competitive in her weight class (67.5)

All of this was achieved whilst still being able to enjoy dinner outings and birthdays (between lockdowns)

Well done @alloyx
