Ally and I started working together around January 2024. Her goal at that time was simple: a body recomp. Buuuut things escalated quickly as she decided to pursue a dream she’d been sitting on for years… stepping on the bodybuilding stage 👠🔥

There was excitement. There was also doubt. But there was never a lack of belief, and more importantly, never a lack of doing the work. She was 60yo back then, had zero comp experience, and didn’t care about either of those things

13.6kg gone. A physique built from scratch. A stage debut that proved every single doubt wrong (including her own!)

@allykmta is the clearest example I’ve seen of the line between “I want it” and “I will do it”. Not the loudest. Not the most experienced. Just ✨relentless✨

So if you’ve been telling yourself it’s too late… too late for what, exactly? Ally just showed you what’s possible. The only question left is what you’re going to do with that 👀

The fitness industry is full of things coaches say to sound smart. Here are 6 things I’d never tell my clients and why.

Most fitness advice is built on absolutes, shortcuts, and comparisons. None of that sh*t works long term. What actually works is understanding your body, following a plan that fits your life, and measuring progress

No magic timelines. No spot reduction. No “eat this, never eat that.”

Just strategy. Just consistency. Just results.

Have you ever heard these phrases from any of your coaches? 🚩👀👇🏻

🌸COLOUR CORRECT WITH ME🌸

That tint band had to go!
So I went in with back-to-back foils especially through the Mohawk section using diagonal placements to make sure her blonde looks flawless no matter where she flips her part.

To really lift out that built-up colour, I worked a 2:1 ratio of traditional blonde foils to lowlights (Aveda Full Spectrum 8N + light Y/O) — keeping the lowlights just through the mids so her ends stayed bright and seamless.

Finished with a root tap (Demi+ 8N + new B/V) and a quick Enlightener Ash gloss on the ends for high shine + maximum tone neutralising.

The result? The perfectly blended cashmere blonde 🤍✨ — soft dimension, high shine, and no muddy tones in sight.

Unpopular opinion… I hate using permanent tint on my blonde guests. Hate it.

Yes, there’s a time and place for tint — but if my guest is sitting in my chair frustrated about needing a root touch-up every 3–4 weeks, I’ll do everything I can to avoid it.

Why? Because tint creates a line of demarcation — that harsh regrowth line that shows up like clockwork and makes your colour feel grown-out before it really is. For blondes, it’s especially unforgiving.

Instead, I love blending the natural regrowth into the colour — it’s softer, more manageable, and gives that lived-in luxe blonde vibe ✨

👉 This was the first appointment breaking up old tint and regrowth. It’s going to take a few visits to completely melt that line of demarcation, but we’re already on our way to a softer, more seamless grow-out.

Here’s what I used:
▫️ Aveda Enlightener Powder — baby light foils (half head)
▫️ 7N Demi+ + a touch of Light Y/O — in between foils for sheer coverage
▫️ Toner: Enlighten Ash + Beiger (1:1) — 5 mins to finish with a creamy tone

✨ My goal? Colour that grows out just as beautifully as it looks on day one.
