It is something we practice.

This is what it looks like when Black women gather with intention.

Twelve days.
A circle of wisdom.
Many voices.
One shared truth: sweetness belongs to us.

Each woman here offered her time, her knowing, her care, and her lived experience - not to perform, but to serve, to hold, and to remind us of what we already carry.

What was created cannot be contained by a calendar.
It lives on in how we rest.
In how we trust ourselves.
In how we soften and choose differently.

To every curator who said yes.
To every woman who listened.
To every sister who felt herself reflected -
Thank you.

This was an ode to Black women.
And the song continues.

Day Eleven held us in something quieter - and more honest.

A reminder that so many Black women need to hear right now:
You are not defective.

Almetta named the shame that sneaks in when we’re overwhelmed, tired, or trying to hold too much together. And she offered something far more sustainable than self-improvement, compassion.

Not as an afterthought.
As a foundation.

Sweetness doesn’t begin when you finally “get it right.”
It begins when you stop treating yourself like a problem to solve.
This is the work.
And it is worthy.
