“I just want my kids to be,
I want my kids to be better.
I want my kids to go farther than I ever went.
Feel me?
I want my kids to be,

“The Moths & the Flame” is in the “Best of Fest” section @idfafestival 2026. Come November we are screening at the world’s largest film festival dedicated to nonfiction storytelling. Thank you for highlighting Pahokee fathers! Their dreams & voices inspired this project and it’s an honor to share it with audiences in Amsterdam. We mixed Florida visuals, metaphysical music & knowledge to depict the metamorphosis that is fatherhood. Peace & love ❤️

In 2019 I went to @mlfilmfest for the first time. It’s a place where all filmmakers are appreciated and get together for a good time. Now in its 12th edition I am proud to have the North American Premiere of “The Moths & the Flame” at MLFF. Screening is Friday, May 22 @ US Forest Service Auditorium.

@variety had this to say about the film:

“A touching observational documentary about young, playful, caring Black fathers in Florida experiencing the inevitable life changes around starting a family. It subverts stereotypes about young Black men, using a rigorous visual aesthetic, exploring the vulnerability and humor of its subjects.“
