POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Alok Appadurai’s back went out at 28. He duct taped himself together, borrowed a back brace from his paraplegic aunt, and went through airport security getting looks from the TSA agents.

“Either I need surgery or I need some alternative modality to alleviate this tremendous pain.”

The acupuncturist ran a thumb down his spine and said two words: “Spine bent.”

Then two more: “My specialty.”

He walked out of that one session standing upright. And here’s why we’re sharing this one — because of what he says next:

“Now you’d think that this is some miracle story and that I would go on my merry way... Well, that’s not how it went down.”

“I spent the next four years in crippling back pain off and on.”

No miracle. Four more years. That’s the honest version, and it’s the one almost nobody posts.

What’s the “fix” that worked for a week and then didn’t? 👇

Alok Appadurai, in Episode 3: “Using all of the structures of the vehicle to maneuver my way in and out.”

It started while he was putting on a shoe. Standing on one leg, at his dying mother’s house, under more stress than he’d ever carried. Pop. He went straight to the floor and couldn’t move.

Then came the part most people will recognize. Not the injury. The shrinking.

“I just readjusted to that being my life.” Five days a week of yoga became “that back bend, I can’t do that. I have a back problem.” Then: I’m not going to do that pose. I’m not going to lift that thing.

“My whole life started getting augmented around my back injury.”

And the worst part wasn’t the pain itself. It was the spasm he couldn’t predict. “You don’t know when that’s going to happen, so you just live every single day” waiting for it.

What have you quietly stopped doing because of pain? 👇

DAY 16 OF 30 — SPIRIT LED

Today my spirit nudged me to “walk my talk” and reach out to my coach for support, share my challenges and let myself be held.

Did I listen? YES 👍
I left a long ass Voxer message for my amazing coach Alok Appadurai.💗

This is a 30 day experiment in noticing the intuitive nudges and voicing them. Not performing. Not proving. Not forcing. Just paying attention to how Spirit is trying to guide me.✨

This isn’t a challenge about discipline. It’s a challenge about honesty and openness.

And I’m inviting you to play too. Every day in the comments, drop what your spirit is nudging you toward. Big or small. Scary or soft. Just name it.
30 days. No rules. Just real women listening to themselves out loud.

What is your spirit nudging you toward today?

Could be big. Could be tiny. Could be something you’ve been ignoring for weeks.

No judgment. Just share it. Even naming it out loud is a sacred act.

There is one thing most women crave that most men don’t know how to deliver.

Before I say what it is, I want to preface it by saying: menfolk, this isn’t your fault.

You were likely never taught this as it isn’t passed down through most men’s lineage.

If fact, you likely got handed the opposite playbook.

So here it is:

She craves feeling safer in your presence. Period.

But menfolk have been programmed over 1,000’s of years for war, anger, domination, and the expansion of power over others, including women.

It’s in our genes whether we like it or not.

Then it gets reinforced consciously and subconsciously through movies, magazines & locker rooms.

So much so that we can’t even see it.

For most men, to admit your lady doesn’t feel safe would mean confronting being an unsafe men and that can cause such cognitive dissonance that it’s easier to just deflect, defend or deny what she is saying.

Yet we walk around proudly saying how we’d take a bull*t to protect her and “kick the shit out of anyone who lays a hand on her”

Becoming a safer man for my lady required courage you can’t find on the battlefield and strength you can’t find in the gym. [continued in comments]

You built success by being dependable.
By holding everything.
By saying yes when your body whispered no.

But true leadership isn’t perfected performance, it’s self-trust.

It’s having the courage to see where you’ve self-abandoned, without shame or guilt, and instead meeting yourself with presence and awareness.

Because the next level of your life doesn’t come from doing more, babe.
It comes from regulating your nervous system, unlearning survival patterns, and embodying the woman who no longer betrays herself to belong.

This is the groundwork for my T.R.U.E Leadership methodology!

✅Truth: having the courage to take off the masks
✅Regulation: actively pursuing devotion to listening to your nervous system (especially in the chaotic moment) and living in alignment with what your body needs.
✅Unlearning: deconditioning from and unbecoming all the ways you’ve learned to hide, shrink or self abandon
✅Embodiment: thinking, feeling and living from a place of truth, authenticity and resourcefulness.

This is the work high-powered women are finally ready for.

We are deeply grateful to have participated as speakers at the Ultimate Experience Arizona 2026. This event is a masterpiece that has created a positive ripple effect in our lives and the lives of everyone present.

Our talk, “Being in Love,” doesn’t refer to the romantic sense, but rather to the possibility that our natural state is one of perfect health. That we are already complete, perfect, and whole! There is nothing wrong with us, and there is nothing to fix! Consider being in love as your natural divine state.

Furthermore, as human beings, we cannot separate ourselves from who we are unless we create a reality that allows us to believe in an alternative. So, what stands in the way of experiencing who and what we truly are? This is what we shared during the event!

We experienced the immensity of being HUMAN BEINGS.
We connected with wonderful human beings from all over the world, felt more alive, and evolved organically.

Many thanks to everyone who participated in different ways:
@judythureson and @erikthureson , @stevehardison and @amyblakehardison for unconditionally trusting in us,
the TUE team,
the team in charge of the stage, sound, and lights,
each of the world-class speakers —our great respect and admiration to them for generously and powerfully sharing their wisdom. Youth and families on stage reminding us what truly matters. Leaders who are powerfully serving in the corporate world and elite sports.
To each and every person in the audience, thank you for co-creating with us a beautiful Virtuous Circle of giving and receiving.
Many thanks to @SoulShope - @vickisoul , for your impact on our planet and for trusting this community to contribute to your purpose.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. 🙏🏽💜🙏🏽
Our life is a powerful message.
We love you, be Healthy.
Dr. Aaron & Desiree Benes.

Will power never supersedes environment. High achievers get built over time.
Great entrepreneurs follow a process of magnification which happens when you upgrade your associations and relationships.
If you’re wanting a higher level in life; fight to get into bigger and better rooms.
