Meet Shaday. She was diagnosed with alopecia universalis at just 9 years old.

Alopecia has taught her that resilience isn’t about being strong every day. It’s about being a work in progress loving yourself while still feeling insecure some days, being confident one moment and uncertain the next, and learning compassion for both yourself and others.

As a woman of color experiencing hair loss, Shaday has learned to speak up and advocate for herself, even when her voice shakes. Most importantly, she’s embraced the truth that no one else can write her story but her.
