Thank you, @smyrnaviningscitylifestyle magazine, for the AMAZING three-page spread on the organization my husband, @alphaknocks, and I started over 18 years ago in our two-bedroom apartment!

When the recession of 2008/2009 hit and arts funding was cut first, we were directly impacted. The kids were directly impacted. We wanted to do something instead of just complaining.

From three kids to over 300k students impacted throughout 18 years! We now have second-generation families in our programs, and I am just extremely grateful to God and to the entire Atlanta community for taking the time to honor us and recognize the hard work we’ve put into building this organization into a legacy of statewide impact!

We are featured in the September edition of the magazine. Check it out on their website!

No our anniversary actually in September BUT I had to shoutout to my husband @alphaknocks who is not intimidated by the success God has done with me because he has recognized the call I have on my life for women in business and does not stand in the way of my calling! Y'all, I WANT YALL TO HAVE THAT! Find you a partner who is not intimidated, who is your biggest fan, and who hold it down while God elevates you. Now, this man is a CEO in his own space BUT he stayed him with the kids so that I can travel and speak at a conference…THAT’S TRUE PARTNERSHIP! We are that #powercouple not just on TV but in real life…GOD is in the center!

We got into a heated debate about following the “rules.” My son seems to think that when he becomes an adult, he’s not going to have to follow any rules! Can yall tell him what he has to look forward to?

@alphaknocks we have already told you, but I wanted to publicly tell you that we truly love you. I’m grateful that my kids have the type of father I wish I would have had when I was a kid.

You are present every day. You discipline with love, lead by example, provide, protect, teach, encourage, and show up consistently. You make time for your family even when life gets busy, and your children never have to wonder if they are loved.

Thank you for the sacrifices you make that often go unnoticed. Thank you for being a man of integrity, faith, and commitment. Because of you, our children have a strong foundation, countless memories, and a father they can look up to.

We celebrate you today, but the truth is, we are grateful for you every day. Happy Father’s Day. We love you. ❤️#blessings #grateful #fathersday
