Gary shaped this board for himself to surf XXL Killers (Isla Todos Santos, Ensenada, Baja). A very sleek high-performance Gun, designed for clean conditions on surf up to 40”. The boards low early entry rocker allows you to make the drop, yet the board is loose enough to come hard off the bottom allowing you to pull into the barrel at Killer’s. Todos is not a long wall, so everything happens quickly, so you have to react fast. Rediscovering the 70’s through @dick_brewer surfboards… it all happened so fast, I went head first into a rabbit hole after watching @alrikyuill on his Brewer at Prospect. A significant link was discovering the film Many Classic Moments from 1978 and watching the best surfers in the world at that time displaying a whole different style of high performance surfing. It changed the way I wanted to surf, the way I wanted to see my friends surf, and opened up a transmission pathway I never expected.
