Golfing for something bigger than the game. 💙⛳️

Vancouver Firefighter Charities is incredibly proud to support one of our long time community partners, The ALS Society of BC. This year, through proceeds raised from our ALS Shoot For A Cure event and our annual Gump Cup Hockey Tournament, we were able to raise $50,000. These funds will go towards providing critical support services for people affected by ALS and to finding a cure.

We started the ALS Shoot as a way to honour two VFRS members, Ranny Macdonald and Jim Macleod, who, after a courageous battle, unfortunately succumbed to this disease. We proudly carry on this tradition with their memory in our hearts.

Thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s ALS Shoot and the dedicated members of the VFD Hockey Club. As always this was a incredible team effort.

One month until the 2026 #Helmet4Hope contest! Time to get creative, submit a design for my helmet, and help raise awareness for ALS. This year we will again be raising money for research and patient services through @als_bc and Project Hope.
