Okay, this post is bittersweet 🤍

Avery’s last Yin class at Yonah Yoga will be tomorrow (Tuesday) @ 6-7:15p! We are SO sad that she will be leaving but also SO happy for her next venture!

We are so grateful and honored that she shared her beautiful energy and teachings with our community, and will miss having her on our schedule.

Come practice with Avery before she goes & help us send her off with lots of love. 🤍

reminder : Beginning September 22nd, Charlene will be taking over the Tuesday evening Yin class, with a new start time of 5 PM instead of 6 PM.

Winning this Grand Canyon permit almost 2 years ago, I knew I had no idea what to expect—and that remained true throughout this journey. Every morning waking up in the sand promised a new adventure and new experience. The Colorado is a river beyond words, a place that can only be lived. My eternal gratitude to the dickapples and showershoes wild enough to agree to journey down the big ditch for 21 days.
It meant to so much to bring together family and friends from all parts of my life, in such an incredible place. I’m forever grateful to share this experience with all of you—Isabel, Paul, Dylan, Avery, Aunt Susie, Aunt Louise, Liam, Paige, Fields, Sean, Dan, Christine, Parker, Matt, and Dark Ball (Molly). From Appalachia to Maine, from my Aunties to Uncle Allen, I love you all. Thank you for an amazing ride 🧡

✨ Meet Our New Studio Coordinators ✨

Please join us in welcoming Spencer and Avery to their new roles at Yonah Yoga! These two incredible teachers will be supporting our studio and community with warmth, wisdom, and heart. We’re so grateful to have them on the team & be sure to say hello when you see them in the shala! 🧘‍♀

Where to Find Them in Class:

Spencer – Tuesdays at 7:30A for Sunrise Vinyasa and every other Wednesday at 10A for Beginners Yoga. She also subs regularly, so keep an eye out, as you may catch her at other times, too!

Avery – Tuesdays at 6P for Yummy Yin. She’ll be away on an adventure during October, but will return in November to take over Friday 10A Yin, along with her Tuesday class.

We’re so stoked for this next chapter at Yonah Yoga and can’t wait for you to connect with Spencer and Avery. Together, we’ll continue building a community rooted in care, mindfulness, and growth, and we can't thank you enough for being such an important part of it.

Now, Avery is taking the next step in her journey as a 300-hour student at AYC, working toward her 500-hour RYT! We’re so inspired by her courage, growth, and heart-centered teaching.

Heartfelt gratitude for the gift of teaching. Asana Lab 2025 was a success! I’ve been reflecting on my immense good fortune since being asked in 2020 to join @ashevilleyogacenter’s teacher training staff. I’m humbled by this privilege and in awe of this program’s dedicated students! Now time to recharge! 😴🤣😎
