Happy Lunar New Year!

The transformative majestic power of the fire horse encourages change whether we are ready not. Think of what a horse is like; Their senses are strong and movements powerful. The fire horse is here to disrupt and energize life so trusting your instincts and intuition will help to guide us through dramatic shifts. Each change will have significance magnifying the intensity of all situations.

May our strides be graceful and purposeful, turning fears into passion as we move through the trails both old and new. Let the fire fuel and energize authentic fulfilment and incinerate what no longer serves us. Happy new year to us all.

Gung Hay Fat Choy!

Learning more about my Chinese roots gives me a certain pride and ability to stand taller with than the year before. I’ve celebrated Lunar new year for years now and never really took the time to understand what it meant besides sending warm wishes, receiving and exchanging red envelopes and eating with family and friends. Meaningful customs and rituals are as important now as generations past.
Lunar new year usually starts on the 1st siting of the new moon and ends a day after the full moon or 15 days after the eve of the new year and ends the day after full moon. The new year celebration symbolizes the transition between each year. This 2023 is the transition of the tiger into the of rabbit.
The rabbit is the 4th animal in the Chinese zodiac and represented by the element of wood. Each animal is represented by one of five elements (wood, fire, earth, metal, and water) all having their own life force or chi with each animal. This year is the water rabbit; the symbol of longevity, peace, and prosperity in Chinese Culture; 2023 is predicted to be a year of hope. Water helps trees grow therefore this year will be good for signs with wood in their zodiac. This rabbit symbolizes mercy, elegance beauty, patience and luck and is expected to have a less tumultuous time than the last year of the tiger…meaning a positive influence on people who are impulsive or unrealistic becoming more level headed and practical. Making crucial decisions and careful considerations of options before to have the best chance of achieving/ realizing goals. Year of the Rabbit brings peace, harmony, tranquility to the new year.
Tonight’s (snow) moon introduces the latern festival. I’m wishing all an auspicious new year. May the rabbit blessings be bountiful, health be excellent and happiness be abundant to you and yours.

Tis’ the season! Everywhere you look there are messages of peace and love to all. With lockdowns happening around the world it means we all are experiencing the same thing. We are reminded everyday over and over that ‘we’ are in it together. Let’s take that ‘we’ factor, that inclusiveness, that exact thought of togetherness and agree that we are one. One race. The human race.
United together to heal together. Unity for all races, religions and nationalities.
Wishing you all a very safe and happy holidays.

Gambier never fails to introduce new experiences. What do you say when kids ask you to go tubing and you realize your gonna be riding a big hot dog?
