This year at the Speed Squad 3.0 we kept the strength workout at a bare minimum —-- knowing very well that strength is such an essential part of athletic training.
But we wanted this camp to be focussed primarily on running and the strength circuit was only the 🍒 on the top 😃

Speed Squad Day 1 - Skills & Drills 🔥

One of our favourite workouts at The Lab has always been working on skill and technique so it was no surprise that the very first session started with working on technique, drills & speed work.

You don’t realise what you have created until you watch it from the other side of the lens. Six days of pure joy & madness- watching these athletes come out and give their absolute best has been the highlight of my week. Through the heat, sweats and niggles - they came, they performed and they refused to give up.

At a lack of words right now as I am still processing one of the best Speed Squad camps we’ve had so far. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you for doing this with me team and believing in the process ❤️

Can’t thank our hydration partners enough - @shyfthealth you guys are so loved by this squad ☺️

Our photographers & videographers who shot some kickass content through the week @buntyyyy_05 & @deveshdesai_ - thank you for bringing my effort to life through your lens ❤️🫶🏻☺️

This year at the @tatamummarathon our athletes not only showed grit but also determination to complete the race no matter what the odds were. Some had niggles, food poisoning, lack of sleep and sadly due to work very little training in their legs —- BUT their muscle memory and the willingness to finish what they had set their goals on, got them through that finish line.

As a coach and team we are so so proud of each and every athlete of our squad ❤️🫶🏼

My hunger to get people to run well has felt a little obsessive over the past few years. Building The Athletics Lab was all about getting adults back to sprinting—teaching the simple skills and mechanics of running smart.

In 2025, I experimented with a very different training approach. It was, in many ways, a hit and miss—but I was willing to take that chance to see how much I could keep evolving as a coach.

At the @tatamummarathon , we have 10 athletes representing our Speed Squad (missing in the picture are @sumiitlakhutia @anujabhansali94 @thejetpaal . I cannot thank them enough for trusting me through this journey. And I am incredibly proud of the effort each and every one of them has put in—whether by showing up consistently for classes or committing fully to online programming.

Excited for Sunday and wishing everyone the very best for the first race of the year 🫶🏻

Love,
Coach Fitgirl
