You gotta reason with Long Island squirrels in a language they understand. Fuggedaboudit.

And yea, I know the feeder placement makes it way too easy for them. Oh, and I also know my windows need cleaning. Sue me. Ba fa Napoli.

This cormorant just accidentally summoned a seaplane.

Don't miss the look he gave me right after.

🔥 Scarlet macaws are impossible to ignore—wings that flare like fire, voices that rattle the canopy, and a taste for wild avocados that has tied them to the forest for centuries.

For a week, I only saw them flying overhead. And then, in the quiet of a nondescript parking lot, two of them landed above me and began their dinner. And stayed for 20 minutes.

I was given a front-row seat to their most important ritual—seed dispersal! A living reminder that these birds keep the rainforest alive as much as it keeps them.

Saw a celebrity in Bryant Park the other day: The American Woodcock! This delightful birb drew quite the crowd. I love his little bounce so much.
