Wanted to share a special moment from last night’s @islander show.

When I first heard about @islander from the homegirl @alwaysloveislander I decided to give their first album “Violence and Destruction” a try and I will admit I was skeptical. Just thought it was another Nu-Metal band who was trying to sound like everyone else who was already in the scene.

Surprisingly it was not the case. I was immediately drawn towards not only the music but @mikeycarvajal lyrics and emotional delivery. I just felt an immense sense of connection and I knew from that moment that I would be a fan for life. Through the years my wife and I have become friends with the family @islander and we always leave a show with smiles on our faces when we get to hang with them after the show.

So… here’s a special moment that @mikeycarvajal surprised me with backstage and it made me actually cry. I have been begging them to play one of my favorite songs ever from the first album. A song that they don’t play very often. A song called “Kingdom”

I just related to his vocals and screams so much the first time I heard it and the song still makes me cry to this day 💁🏼‍♂️

Much love to our family @islander @kwiscarvajal @mikeycarvajal @michaelstickythomas @joey_donhowe

Just a simple reminder to always buckle up ! This is Chi’s spoken word album from a couple years ago. If you’re a true fan of @deftones then you already have this. I’m hoping by posting this that some of the younger generation of @deftones fans will do their homework and discover how much the brother above Chi 🎸🕊️ means to those of us who try to follow in his footsteps. Love to the family @buckleupforchi and the family @deftones 💚🖤✌🏻B #deftones #deftonesfamilia #deftonesporvida #deftonesfans #deftonesfan #deftoneslove #deftonesmusic #buckleupforchi #daitheflu #theheadupproject #wbw

Not entirely sure what St. Patrick's day is all about, but here are some photos from when we took a family trip to Ireland in '09. Including St. Patrick's cathedral in Dublin and me kissing the Blarney Stone (Yes, I had a pink mowhawk)

DEFTONES FRIDAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sharing a video I took a couple years ago while @sicknewworld featuring our collective musical homies @deftones

So very happy that I will get to witness this incredible and inspiring band live again in #philadelphia in a couple weeks.

Whenever I watch these live clips, it brings me right back to that very moment.

Seeing my family @bellabellavida @captainoftheobvious

Trying to drink in the insane heat, paying an outrageous amount of money for a can of @liquiddeath, watching @captainoftheobvious get way too drunk way too fast, having @bellabellavida put sunblock on my face as my wife (who was gambling and didn’t go to the show) had instructed….. @bellabellavida if you have any photos of that, it would be funny as hell. I literally looked like a child sitting in a chair with his mom applying sunscreen to his face 👩🏻✋🏻👶🏼🤣🤣🤣🤣

Much love to @bellabellavida 😘

So the long and short of my continued typing is this…….

HAPPY DEFTONES FRIDAY !

Love 😘❤️💚🎶🗣️🎤🎸🎸🥁✌🏻B

Had to #repost this clip of @braduptoncomedy

I have tears coming out of my eyes right now, because this is so true and on point 😂

I’m definitely guilty of sleeping on my wife’s side of the bed. In fact I always promise her that I won’t end up there, but somehow I do.

Mad love to my wife @inthemiddleofthenight31 for not only being my pillow and final resting spot…. Thank you for reminding everyday that I invaded your space 🙋🏼‍♂️👰🏻🫣😘

Mad love to @braduptoncomedy for the amazing accuracy 🙌🏻

FBF:

I was scrolling through some of my memories on my phone and came across this video from a rad night that my wife and I had years ago while hanging out with our family @mikeycarvajal @kwiscarvajal 🥰

As all of you guys and girls know, @islander has been a huge inspiration and influence on me ever since the homie @alwaysloveislander turned my ear in their direction 🎶🦂

I’ve heard many people over the course of my life say that you shouldn’t meet the people who inspire and influence you because it might not turn out how you thought.

Moments like this totally encapsulates what it means to be a fan of #music

If @islander comes through your town…..GO SEE THEM 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

Mad love and respect going out to @mikeycarvajal @kwiscarvajal @islander

Hope to see y’all soon 🪬🪬🙋🏼‍♂️👰🏻🤙🏻

Video credit goes out to my wife @inthemiddleofthenight31 👰🏻😘
