Spring has sprung, booksta🌷 We have @thelithomebody to thank for this one! Evvie is recently-widowed & stuck in the monotony of her daily life. Dean is a former-Major League baseball player who's lost his perfect pitch. So when Dean escapes NYC for Evvie's small town in Maine, they form an unexpected friendship that gives them both the chance to start over.

This novel had everything we want in a lighthearted read: lovable characters dealing with real-ass life problems, meaningful friendships & relationships, self-growth & self-care, all wrapped up in sweet, small-town vibes. Holmes deftly finds moments of joy in times of uncertainty, & brings levity to difficult circumstances. A great book to pick up if you're in the need of something fast-paced, yet touching this season ⚾️🦞
