Throughout my hairstylist journey, I have not stopped learning. If you're passionate about it, I don't think you really ever stop. Learning gives you room to fail. Failing gives you the opportunity to learn and grow. Learning and growing is what makes you go from good to great.

The hardest part is always showing up in the first place.... and I am so grateful to be in a room filled with knowledge + an opportunity to grow. Thank you @kaziarosemond and @brianhickman1 for hosting such a great curly cutting class today @local_honey!

Lighthouse vlog from the afternoon of April 14th, 2026–also known as my 31st birthday. This was an uncommonly warm, spring day in Cape Cod. I added not one, but two new shawls to my collection, which has steadily grown this year at a rate I truly can’t divine. I always think I’m moving uniquely, but then I follow in the steps of my fellow 30-year-olds and acquire several shawls, a strong urge to protect my sleep from sugar and alcohol, and a need to collect the United States’ lighthouses. Oh well. This is me now.

We managed to see every lighthouse on Martha’s Vineyard, including Cape Poge, way out on the Eastern tip of the island. And, to celebrate, we had more bellinis and fresh seafood while the locals watched some sports game or another.

Last night, thanks to two historic turnouts from the citizens of Nashville, BL2026-1391, a bill to regulate and restrict data centers in the Davidson County, passed unanimously in its second reading. There WILL be a third reading, and then, the mayor’s office and lobbyists will seek to weaken the legislation to make accommodations for AI data centers like the one proposed for Fisk University’s campus. We must band together to keep all neighborhoods in Nashville AI data center free.

Lighthouse hunting in Provincetown, MA, in April. We discovered the official name of the elevated path is dike. We put our feet in some seriously glacial water. And we learned that Race Point is a great place to see whales when the tide is low.
