This year, as part of our “Dementia 13” screening at @bricktheater on Monday, October 19, Hoff’s Horrorfest is excited to feature the maestra of mayhem, @alysedreamhouse 🎤 Unhook from reality and fall into the world of Alyse Dreamhouse, a journey that’s part nightmare, part cushy fever dream, and 100% messy. Ever feel like your body isn’t attached to your head? Are you massively overdue for an exorcism? Featuring remixed horror and live sound, you’ll walk away slightly bewildered but lighter & brighter than before. 🪩

A musician, sound designer and performance artist based in Brooklyn, NY, Alyse Dreamhouse is the singer/guitarist of the experimental duo Parlor Walls and co-creator of the video art collective Famous Swords. Her solo work spans various musical genres and media. Often featuring slow-roasted snares, vintage samples and pitched vocals, Alyse describes it as “technicolor trash pop”. Don’t miss out!

While work has been slow as molasses, I’ve been lighting fires under my ass(es)…yes…the multiple butts that I have which is 3.5 of so deal with it now you know god leave me alone!!

🎬🔥🎬

For REALLY real though…
Spring and Summer of 2026 (so far) has brought on an immense amount of gratitude, uncertainty, passion and exhaustion towards my love of filmmaking and my career as a director/writer/editor.

In my effort to resist and revolt against the soulless excrement of generative A.I. slop taking dumps on our screens, I am proud to continue making real work by actual humans with our real freaking human hands and hearts. Here are some recent moments for the ole scrap book from the land of filmmaking that have made me glad to be alive!

⭐️Speaking on an @theaicp panel with all star editor and human @_magdalenahg_ on the benefits of sloowwwwinggg downnnn, in and out of work.
⭐️ Highlights from an upcoming Uber Eats spot shot by @normmagnuson_dp
⭐️ Screening @regularsthemovie at the Art Of Brooklyn Festivals (awarded for Outstanding Ensemble cast!)
⭐️ GLIZZY DAY, a film about hot dogs and growing up made with @simplybraunsdorf and @rhymes.with.man .
⭐️ Roosevelt Island Film Festivals where REGULARS was awarded BEST FEATURE FILM, BEST COMEDY, and BEST DIRECTOR (lil’ ole me)
⭐️ On set with Dipshit Derek from Stranger Things for the Tales From 85’ premiere at Netflix House

And may it be heard…
“If you’re not having a good time, find something else that gives you some joy in life.”
- Penny Marshall
