I am feeling so creative and inspired recently<3 The more festivals & shows I go to the more I want to paint the beautiful energy I feel on the dance floor. I started this painting 2 years ago after subleasing for a month and a half in NYC. This piece is inspired by the NYC nightlife & the people I met during my time there. After 2 years of staring at this piece, it was time to finish it and bring it to life. You never know when you will feel inspired to finish old projects. KEEP CREATING ART EVERYDAY🎨📸🫶

I finally made an official painting print shop on my website!!

All of my paintings have prints available in a variety of sizes on my website located in my bio! I tried to make my prints as affordable as possible so they can be more accessible for everyone. Go checkout my website and my print shop🫶

I also am no longer “schmidtypaints” but am officially @alyssaschmidtart ✨ Finally changing my website domain and instagram handle so all of my art (painting and photography) have a cohesive name.

I’m excited to keep creating more and more this year! Can’t wait to see what the future holds for me as artist🎨

Whirled again. Saw old friends, met new friends. And imagined what my studio and art could be like if I was a full time artist. Ended the day with the best hot dog I’ve ever had, no joke.

New painting I just finished🤟I was assigned a “new history” painting. This painting is based around the quote from Donald trump “grab em by the pussy” where he sexualizes women in a voice recording. This painting shows my abstract representation of what it feels like to be talked about sexually, touched, or taken advantage of. Using a mix of acrylic paint, crayons, paint markers, and spray paint.
