Welcome to Remission!✨💕🥳💖🔔Cheers to Healing! 🥂🔔🥂 2.4.26 ✨🔔✨

Last week on February 4, 2026, exactly 18 months from the night I was admitted to the hospital, I am finally, beautifully, joyfully, gratefully in remission. 🎊🥹🎊😭🎊😂🎊🥳

What’s extra significant about the dates is that in terms of survivorship, with my specific and quite rare diagnosis, if there is no reoccurrence within 18 months of detection, it’s unlikely to resurface at all. In the frustration of 4 murky post-treatment PET scans and an insurance denial, God gave me blessed assurance in a 5th CAT scan that was 2.2.26– exactly a year from completing chemotherapy. In the words of my Homegirl, “And during Black History Month!” Look at God! Poetry through pain. Delayed but not denied.

My word of the year is Joy and I couldn’t feel more incandescently joyful if I tried. 🌟💡🌟 Here’s to being happy, healthy, healed, and whole but most importantly, here. Right where I belong. ❤️‍🩹🫶🏾🫀🩻

Fifteen years ago today, February 12, 2011, I experienced another extremely difficult health setback that required me to learn to walk again. Now, almost half my life later, I find myself in the same place— learning to walk again in a different way. As lonely as this road gets, I’m so glad I’ve never walked it alone. Thank you to everyone who walked beside me and carried when I couldn’t stand. I love you more than words can say and thank God for you every day. I pray for more joy in the journey ahead and that still being here means there’s so much more for me to be and do. But also, that me and my life are worth so much more than I ever knew, just as it is. 💖 I’m so deeply grateful. 🥹❤️‍🔥☺️💘

A year of ups and downs.
2025 was anything but quiet.

Old friends, new friends.
DnD nights, Poconos weekends, and a lot of rolling dice.
Miles logged, finish lines crossed. Brooklyn, turkey trots, and all the way to Sydney.
Vegas nights, emo nostalgia, and maybe one too many drinks.
Love, growth, and learning to keep showing up for myself.

Through it all, Rena, thank you for being by my side every step, mile, and moment. 🖤

Fell deeper in love with running.
Grateful for every moment, even the hard ones.

Here’s to whatever 2026 has in store. ✨

Unplugged and recharged. Spent the past three days in the Poconos unwinding, laughing, and bonding with an amazing group of people. Nothing like cabin life, nature, and the occasional deer (and bear 👀) sighting to reset the soul.

Also, required group pic in front of the cabin before the horror movie plot kicks in. 😅

Grateful for the memories, the company, and the quiet moments in between. 💖
