Last weekend, the annual Blue Jacket Society and Legendary Owl Breakfast welcomed new members into the Blue Jacket Society. It also honored this year’s Legendary Owls, standout agricultural education instructors and Future Farmers of America (FFA) advisors from across Colorado. The breakfast has become a wonderful part of our Ag Day traditions, which explains all the orange! 🧡 Blue Jacket Society members fund signing bonuses that help Colorado recruit and keep ag teachers and FFA advisors. In honor of their gift, their iconic blue jackets hang at CSU’s CoBank Center for Agricultural Education for future FFA members to see. Thank you to the Colorado FFA Foundation, the CSU Agricultural Education Program and every Blue Jacket Society member for making these opportunities possible. And a special shout out to @NationalWestern President and CEO Wes Allison for spending the weekend on campus supporting our ag students and community. We don’t need an excuse to rep Aggie Orange—but #AgDay sure is a good one! 🧡🐏 This year marked our 45th Ag Day, one of our most memorable traditions celebrating our land-grant mission and agricultural roots. Special thanks to everyone who joined us at the @NutrienAgSolutions Ag Day BBQ. Each plate supports @CSUAgSci student scholarships, with nearly 400 Ag Day scholarships awarded since 2000. Go Aggies! Go Rams!

Last weekend, @ColoradoStateUniversity turned Canvas Stadium into a rodeo arena for the inaugural Collegiate All-Star Rodeo as part of Bulls and Beats. Built in partnership with @PBR, this first-of-its-kind student-focused event kicked off PBR’s Team Series and brought together the Northern Colorado community and beyond across a phenomenal three days. At first glance, Bulls and Beats may have looked like a celebration of Western heritage inside a modern football stadium. It was that. It was also a look at how we prepare the next generation for an economy in transition. @CSUAgSci Dean Carolyn Lawrence-Dill and I reflected on what those students represent in a new op-ed for @FencePostNews — and why the future of work is taking shape in arenas like Canvas Stadium as much as it is in our classrooms and research labs. Read the full op-ed in @CSUAmyParsons’ bio.

Another PBR-filled weekend in the books! What a thrill seeing our campus come alive for Bulls & Beats at Canvas Stadium! The first-ever Collegiate All-Star Rodeo and two days of professional bull riding were capped by star-studded performances from Brad Paisley, Bailey Zimmerman and Miranda Lambert. A massive thank you to @PBR for being exceptional partners in bringing these events to Fort Collins, and to @CSUAthletics and all the CSU teams for pulling everything together. And thanks to Ram Country for an unforgettable few days celebrating our Aggie roots, our love of live music and everything that makes Fort Collins one of the best college towns. This was only the start of an exciting season at Canvas Stadium as we enter our Pac-12 era. We’ll see you back here for @CSUFootball’s home opener on September 5 as the Rams host rival Wyoming! Go Rams!

What a way to kick off @PBR’s Bulls and Beats — by setting the record for the largest collegiate rodeo ever! 🐴🎶 Canvas Stadium hosted the inaugural Collegiate All-Star Rodeo last night, bringing some of the country’s best collegiate athletes to Fort Collins. Congratulations to every competitor, including our very own barrel racer McKinlee May, who made this first one so special. There’s no better place for a rodeo than CSU. Rodeo has been part of our campus since 1921, and in 1949 we helped found the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association — shaping college rodeo into what it is today. After the rodeo, Grammy-winning artist Brad Paisley took the stage and closed out the night with some of our favorite hits. And this was only the start. We’re back tonight as PBR opens its team season with Bailey Zimmerman, then Miranda Lambert closes us out Sunday. See you out there Rams! 🤠 President Amy Parsons stands at left. In the center, McKinlee May wears a green ram logo and an All-Star bull riding patch. At right, Athletic Director John Weber wears a lanyard. Behind them are metal bucking chutes and arena seating. A graphic in the lower right reads "P B R Bulls and Beats, Fort Collins, C O, 2026."
