This summer I chose me! I chose to step outside my comfort zone and do the thing I’ve been wanting to do for so long now. I got my yoga certification! 🧘🏽‍♀️✨ Quick story time… when I began the program we were told to bring a journal to every class. I knew I had some on hand that only had a few pages used. I opened one and there were a few journal entries and notes from 2015. One in particular really just had me stunned. I had completely forgotten that I wrote any of it. It was listing all the things I wanted to do with my life, become a health coach, leave the corporate world, build my brand, and GET MY YOGA CERTIFICATION!! Like what!!!! I had zero recollection of even writing that. 2015 seems like a lifetime ago, that was pre babies, pre Texas, pre Covid lol. I had already checked off every single thing but that one, that one that I knew that I needed to do for me and now 10 years later here we are. Full circle moment! Two things I learned, the first being, DONT WAIT! Don’t let fear stop you, don’t let the unknown hold you back from accomplishing any goal you have. Regardless of what anyone thinks, it’s your life and it should be lived by your standards. And two, SAY YES TO YOURSELF! Say yes to all the things. We tend to lean towards no a lot and I truly feel like it robs of us of not just a lot of opportunities but a lot of joy as well. Say yes, you deserve it! Meeting this group and being with them on the weekends just further proved I made the right decision. We all probably would not have crossed paths if it wasn’t for this program but let me tell you, I am so thankful I got to know each of them on such a deep level. Our instructor, Tara, made this experience amazing for all of us and we are all blessed to know her. And don’t get me started on Lionel, our mascot and emotional support pup! Just all the feels when I think about what a wonderful group this was. So now I embark on a new journey, a new journey of teaching, bringing this practice to my homeschool groups, 1:1 clients and so so much more! Namaste bitches!!!
