Football IQ doesn’t have to be built through another 30-minute meeting.

Coach @amandaruller turns learning into competition.

She uses quick quizzes at the end of meetings to test fronts, coverages, and concepts while giving players immediate feedback on what they actually know.

5–10 minutes. Keep score. Let them compete.

A simple way to make learning the game more engaging while reinforcing the details players need to play fast.

If a flag football program doesn’t exist in your community, why not build one?

During this SMWW DOC Talk, coach and mentor Amanda Ruller explains why there should be no gatekeeping in flag football. As the sport continues to grow, there are opportunities for coaches, leaders and program builders who are ready to take initiative.

Want to help shape the future of flag football? Learn directly from Amanda in SMWW’s online Flag Football Leadership Course.

Amanda Ruller got an up-close look at what it takes to lead a football program while working with Pete Carroll and the Seattle Seahawks.

What stood out most wasn’t just scheme.

It was the energy he brought to practice, meetings, and every part of the program.

She had read Win Forever before arriving in Seattle. Then she watched those same principles show up every day.

“It was a true masterclass on how to be a head coach.”

“How do you want to be coached?”

That’s one of the first questions Amanda Ruller asks a new player.

Before getting into scheme or technique, she wants to understand how that athlete learns, communicates, and responds to coaching.

It helps the player feel heard, but it also gives the coach valuable information on how to teach them better.
