Our daughters grew up watching us worry about our weight, count calories, and chase skinny.

What if the next generation grows up watching us get STRONG instead?

Every woman in this video is one of my personal training clients. Every one is a mother of daughters.

And every time they pick up those dumbbells, they’re doing more than building muscle. They’re showing their daughters what it looks like to prioritize strength, health, and independence as we age.

Because our daughters are watching how we age, too.

Here’s to changing the example we set for the next generation.

We’ve been hearing from travelers concerned about the recent unrest in France, particularly those joining us in January and next September.

And we understand. The headlines are unsettling.

But here’s what we want you to know: Paris is not defined by a few days of unrest, and what’s happening today doesn’t necessarily tell us what will be happening months from now.

We’re watching developments closely, staying informed and working with our local partners.

Protesting, for better or for worse, is a French cultural norm. 🇫🇷🥂Vive la France!🇫🇷 We’ll see you in Paris.

Thank you thank you thank you to our precious community who has cherished and celebrated us so well in this season. These pictures cannot possibly capture the love, joy, and gratitude we have for all of the friends and families who have in turn loved on us (as individuals and as a couple) over the years. Making friends in midlife can be surprisingly hard.

When I moved from California to Texas, I barely knew anyone.

I met Mandy, started following her on Instagram and eventually thought, I think we could actually be friends.

So I took a chance and invited her and her husband over for dinner. I was pretty sure she might think I was a creeper. 😂

She said yes.

That one invitation turned into a great friendship, and eventually introduced me to other women who have become good friends too.

Mandy and I joke about it now, but we’ve realized there’s something to it:

You have to have the courage to make the invite.
And the courage to say yes.

And that’s part of why we’re doing You Can Sit With Us. On Wednesday, October 14 from 5:30–7:30 PM at House of Shan Cottage, Mandy and I are hosting a happy hour for women looking for more connection, conversation and friendship.

Maybe you’re new to Austin. Maybe your friendships have changed. Maybe you just want to meet some new women.
