return to softness GIRLS TRIP🦋✨🌈💗

heartgasm. wow wow wow. A few week ago @claudia.izabella and I witnessed our precious seed of a vision bloom better than we could have ever imagine.🌸

3 years ago, in Costa Rica on the dance floor of envision this dream of holding intentional getaways for women chose us.

this week with 10 powerful, beautiful women in the mountains of Nevada City, California was a gift from God. Oh and btw, THESE WOMEN ARE POWERFUL, WISE, GIFTED, FREE, WHIMSICAL, and straight up DIVINE. I couldn’t have prayed for a better connected gaggle of girlies 🧚🏼

we danced, laughed, cried, got evacuated from a wildfire on our street (still had a blast tho), played mermaids, explored, did crafts, had an unexpected ER visit (this sister is a forking powerhouse for handling it with such grace), deeeeeeply connected, celebrated each other, held each other, and melted into girlhood.

chefs kiss. AND a massive chef’s kiss to our two dope cooks @gr4_cie @ollie.branson that nourished us to infinity this trip. It wouldn’t have been the same without their art and offerings🍉🫚🥦

last month, i got to co-host my first women’s retreat / girls trip with one of my besties 🤍

one of the most important & transformational aspects in my life the last few years has been my relationships with the women in my life… and more importantly healing my relationship with women.

when ray and i met back at envision in costa rica in 2023, we dropped into a friendship and sisterhood that healed so much for both of us. from then on we both knew, we had something special & sacred going on that we wanted to share with more women because a life without like-minded women, as a woman, is isolating, lonely, & not the way to live.

to see this space come together after 3 years of having this vision & now being on the other side of it feels so darn rewarding & special 🥹 i was blown away to witness and see 10 strangers drop in, connect, be so supported and uplifted by one another, & become like a family of baddies in such a short period of time 🤍

my heart feels so full and grateful for all the women that came into this space with such open hearts and energy💗💗 especially now seeing the essence of this experience be captured by our photo mami @nicoleashermua 🥲 it feels like such a blessing to be able to see the manifestation of a dream you’ve been dreaming of with a sister come to life 💗 @rayydiance_

& to have the cutest chef baddies support us all by cooking the most scrumptious & nourishing food all week 👩🏼‍🍳✨🧚🏻🥑 @ollie.branson @gr4_cie

one of the biggest takeaways from this space for me was the reminder of the power of following my heart path, trusting my intuition, & leaning into my authenticity even when it feels scary or uncomfy

a week to remember full of laughter, play, presence, connection, whimsy, nourishment, vulnerability, river days, dancing our hearts out, and vibessss… oh & can’t forget our grill lighting on fire, having a fire evacuation moment, & an ER trip for some knee stitches 🌼

🌞🤍 For the past 3–4 years, I’ve poured so much into helping build my family’s retreat house, Desert Rose. Our mission has always been to support facilitators in bringing people together for experiences that foster connection, transformation, and growth.

This summer, I had the opportunity to step away from being the person creating the space and experience what it feels like to simply be a participant in one.

My beautiful friends Ray and Claudia facilitated such a memorable experience, bringing 10 lovely women together in a way that felt so intentional and genuine.

Every woman shined in her own way, and not a single person was left unnoticed.

It gave me an entirely new appreciation for the kind of work I’ve spent the last few years creating a home for.

Thank you for such vitalizing moments. I love you all so much🤭

When they don’t have fangs they’re basically just giant gummy worms that enjoy your warmth

Loved having a Sonoran King Snake at 10 years old so I learned early not to fear their presence

Maybe next time I’ll get the chameleon of my dreams if the stars align🦎🐍

Very blessed to have been a part of such a lovely team for this Return to Softness women’s retreat.

I loved the opportunity to cook and connect with these beautiful women AND dance to ABBA under the bubble machine.

A lot can happen while living out of a hammock on the beaches in Oahu for a month and a half where I got lucky enough to come across old friends by chance encounters while also meeting so many new friends along the way. I climbed plenty of trees, jumped off some cliffs, hiked some mountains, witnessed beautiful wildlife, danced till the sun came up, showed some magic, saw some street fights, got a raided by a swat team, spent all my money and would do it all over again no questions asked.
