Melissa shared that she’s wired to serve, to listen, and to make others feel seen. That’s her love language, and it’s the foundation of everything she creates.

In florals, that means taking someone’s story and translating it into something meaningful and personal through design. It’s not just arranging flowers. It’s capturing who they are.

And the part that lights her up most is the reaction.

The moment a couple sees their bouquet or their ceremony space and recognizes themselves in it.

From day one, Melissa has built her business on connection. Hearing people. Understanding what matters to them. Making something beautiful that reflects it back.

When she says she’s a people person, she means it.

And it shows in every arrangement.

Three flower shops. Two brands. One leap of faith in a garage.

Meet Melissa Parker, the florist and entrepreneur behind 7Blooms and Amaranth Florist.

Before she owned multiple flower shops, Melissa was studying for the LSAT, teaching history, and working in educational consulting. Florals weren’t the plan, but they were always the thing that made her feel most alive.

In 2018, she was in her garage designing arrangements for a golf outing while her mom and best friend sat nearby drinking wine. They watched her work and finally said what she hadn’t said out loud yet

“You’re happiest when you’re doing flowers. Why isn’t this your career?”

Around the same time, she received a job offer for a school administrator role… and realized she didn’t want it.

So she turned it down and followed the spark instead.

She found a tiny, outdated flower shop for sale near her kids’ school. Bought it. Rebranded it. Revived it.

And seven years later?

That decision has grown into three shops and two thriving floral companies.

All because she listened to the people who saw her gift… and decided to trust it.

Seven years ago today, I took a leap and poured my heart into transforming Amaranth and 7Blooms into the businesses they are today. What started as a dream has grown into something so much bigger, filled with beauty, creativity, hard work, and the most incredible community.

The number 7 has always felt special to me, symbolizing completeness, perfection, and new beginnings. And here we are… seven years later, still blooming, still evolving, and still creating magic with every arrangement.

To my clients, friends, family, and every single person who has cheered us on, you are part of this story. Thank you for trusting us with your moments, your celebrations, and your memories. Your love and support have made these 7 years possible, and I can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds!

Six and a half years ago, I took a leap of faith and started this business. What began as a dream and a passion project quickly turned into one of the most challenging, rewarding, and fulfilling journeys of my life. I wanted to create something that brought beauty and joy to others—a way to mark life’s moments, big and small, with something meaningful ... flowers. 💐

Running this business has been a rollercoaster. There have been sleepless nights, unexpected hurdles, and moments where I wondered if I could keep going. But there have also been incredible joys: seeing the smiles on clients' faces, being part of their milestones, and creating something beautiful from nothing. Every time I watch our designs come to life—whether it’s for a wedding, an event, or an everyday occasion—I am reminded why I started.

This work is not easy. It's taken perseverance, sacrifice, and a lot of heart. But every year has shown growth—not just in the business, but in me as well. I've learned to navigate the challenges, celebrate the wins, and trust in the process.

One of the most fulfilling parts of this journey has been building a team I can truly trust. I’m so grateful for every person who stands by me and pours their heart into this work. Their dedication, talent, and hard work inspire me every single day, and this business wouldn’t be where it is without them.

I also wouldn’t have made it this far without the support of my family and friends. Whether it was offering advice, lending a helping hand, or simply cheering me on when I needed it most, they’ve been my rock.

As we step into 2025, I feel hopeful and excited about what’s ahead. I remain deeply committed to this vision and believe in the power of what we do. Thank you to everyone who has supported us, cheered us on, or allowed us to be part of your life in some way. Your trust means the world to me.
