As a founder, I have to admit that I truly love Christmas, not because my childhood memories were perfect, but because I love traditions, culture, and that unmistakable sense of magic. ✨ For me, Christmas has nothing to do with shopping or excess; it’s about time and moments together. Cooking, baking, visiting markets, seeing exhibitions, lighting candles, taking long winter walks… these are the rituals that shape my December. ☁️ Gifts are part of my love language, and even as a sustainability professional, I still appreciate beautiful material things, just not in a mindless way. I want gifts to be conscious: rooted in need and joy, thoughtfully produced, designed to last, and supportive of businesses that are trying to do things better. 🙏🏾 So I’m sharing a wishlist to offer inspiration and highlight some of the wonderful brands creating products with care and intention. . The Redress Design Award is the world’s largest sustainable fashion design competition. The programme works to educate emerging fashion designers around the world about sustainable design theories and techniques in order to drive growth towards a circular fashion system. I have always been a lover of fashion and a huge supporter of Redress. Since 2017, I have been fortunate enough to have worn bespoke pieces that were produced (from textiles that already existed!) This year, I work behind the scenes, doing my best to contribute within the Circular Fashion team. The magnitude of the work and message of the Redress team and its Founder @drchristinadean is truly admirable. The hard work of the heart, to do our best to create a ripple effect of change, change for good.
