Yesterday was a really hard day for me.

I don’t usually share moments like this because I never want to be seen as weak… but I’m human too.

Being a coach has always been about helping others push through hard times, stay disciplined, and keep fighting.

Sometimes, in the middle of carrying everyone else, I forget that there are people willing to help carry me too.

People say boxing isn’t a team sport… but what do you call the people who hold pads for you, push you through drills, run beside you in the park, speak life into you when you’re struggling, and cheer for you when you feel like giving up?

That’s your team.

To my boxing family, thank you. Thank you for helping me show up even when I was mentally and emotionally struggling. Thank you for the encouragement, the love, the patience, and the belief.

Your passion, loyalty, and commitment are what will carry me forward.

We keep fighting. We keep showing up. And together… we rise.

Coach Anthony came into our lives doing what he loved most, boxing.

A coach through and through. Teaching his style: hit and not get hit, slick footwork, and always reminding us to have fun in the ring.

He spent his final hours exactly where he belonged training young fighters and looking out for his besties… Gabby, Lisandra, and me.

In such a short time, you taught me so much. We didn’t always agree, but we always respected each other, because that’s who you were… a genuinely beautiful soul.

Stubborn like a mule, but your heart never stopped caring. And you always knew our doors were open to you.

We’re going to miss you, Coach Anthony.
Rest easy.
