On May 13, 2022 I graduated law school surrounded by my family. The past three years haven’t been easy, but I must say I couldn’t have done it without those close to me. My journey has been filled with the highest of highs and some of the lowest of lows. During my time in law school I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and depression. I had panic attacks and at one point I was so depressed I had to call my mom to stay with me. During law school the first man I ever loved was diagnosed with cancer (he’s fine now because God saw him through), and my mental health continued to suffer in ways I could NEVER have imagined. Denzel didn’t lie when he said the devil comes for you at your highest moments, BUT even in the midst of these battles God provided and kept his hands on me. He provided me with a job and I will be joining an amazing firm in the fall. I got engaged to an AMAZING man and I even made Dean’s List. So two words sum up my law school experience…BUT GOD.
