I’m so excited about receiving the beautiful custom designed pins that I ordered for the Murray City Downtown District! Designed by local Murray artist @ambergilesdesign - the logo highlights five historic Murray buildings! Can you name them all? These pins are going to be available to anyone who wants one- just reach out to me! I’d love if anyone wanting a pin could donate a non perishable food item or item(s) for the Murray Food Pantry. Support local! Reach out to me to meet at my office! We’ll also be handing them out at downtown Murray events that we’re planning for this year and 2026. So many fun events - I can’t wait to pass along the details soon! Jenn Kikel-Lynn, Volunteer Executive Director Murray City Downtown District (801) 641-1571 Big thanks to @ericaish for the awesome connection to a local company who made the pins and @thegivebackbrokerage for the donation to purchase the pins. #murrayfoodpantry #murraycity #murraycitydowntowndistrict #shoplocal

Time to show off some student work! Here are just couple assignments drawn by some of my hand lettering students for class! One thing that makes my hand lettering classes different, is that after each lesson you have the opportunity to submit a picture of your practice and get feedback and personal instruction directly from me each time! So even though the class is online l, you still can get personalized answers to your questions and help ever step of the way. You can find more info about the Hand Lettering Class, Composition and Desifn Class, and Flourishing Class all at my website! Also another shout out to @ambergilesdesign @simplyloveddesigns @inkandbrassdesigns and everyone else who is enrolled in the classes and doing awesome work! . . . . #learnhandlettering #lettering #letteringartist #letteringdaily #handletteringclass #handletteringworkshop #typeaffiliated

You may have noticed that I recently changed my name on here (again! 😆) - I am now Melissa’s Cake Mill! 👏🏻 I’ve been wanting to make my profile look more legit/professional lately, and I felt like changing my handle to something that incorporates my name in a fun way while also keeping cakes as the main focus was the way to go. In addition to the name change, I really wanted a logo to represent my brand/business. HUGE shoutout to my good friend Amber Giles at @ambergilesdesign who created this amazing logo! She put the various elements I wanted in my logo together and brought my vision to life, and I love it so much! She is so kind and was super easy to work with. Be sure to hit Amber up if you ever have any graphic design needs! 🙌🏻

@balletcenterutahinc is grateful for the opportunity we had recently to support our own Isabelle Armstrong in her senior project for @westminstercollegedance titled Virtuoso - The Legend of Paganini. This piece explores the legend of Italian violinist Niccolò Paganini who allegedly sold his soul to the devil to become a successful musician. We are excited to bring this piece in its entirety to you! Check the link in our bio to view the entire performance. Run time is approximately 15 minutes. . . . Isabelle created this piece in collaboration with Ballet Center Utah, Inc. using scenery, stage, costumes and dancers from our studio. She will be graduating from @westminsterslc with her BFA this spring. . . .
