Tabitha and I have had an amazing few days at the Durango Film/TV conference in Ventura, CA!! It was sweater weather so no beach time, but it was so great meeting so many new contacts, making new music friends, catching up with old friends and hearing music from so many talented musicians and artists!! Ok so this is my real last day of chemo. was supposed to finish the week before, but when I went in that day and they checked my blood, my white blood count levels were way too low and my Oncologist didn’t think it was safe to proceed with treatments that day. I was honestly pretty bummed, because I was mentally prepared to tinally be done and to be sick that whole weekend. But also because my daughters 4th birthday was gonna be the next weekend, and there was no way I was gonna miss it because I was too sick. But ultimately just had to wait 5 days and then I was finally able to finish this chapter of my journey. I’m so happy always had my friend @ambrastone by my side to keep my spirits high - - - #breastCancer #BRCA1 #cancerjourney #chemo #cancer

Quick little update I made it through surgery — and thankfully, everything went well. But I won’t sugarcoat it… recovery has been harder than I ever imagined. The pain is intense, and the smallest things — like standing up or walking to the bathroom — take every ounce of energy I have. Still, I’m taking it one moment, one breath, one brave step at a time. God truly blessed me with the most incredible friend @ambrastone , who moved in with me to help through this healing process. She even started a Meal Train to make sure I’m taken care of while I recover. If you’d like to help, that’s an easy — and deeply appreciated — way to do so. The link is in the bio and story if you want to help with my meal train. We’re still waiting a few weeks for the biopsy results to know how successful chemo was and whether radiation will be next. Today, I faced one of the hardest goodbyes of my life. When I learned I carried the BRCA1 gene — the same one that caused my breast cancer — I knew this day would come. So today, I said goodbye to my girls, not because I wanted to, but because I needed to fight for my future… for my daughter, for the days we still have ahead. 💕 I was scared — truly terrified — but I made it through. Now begins the long road of healing, strength, and self-love. I’m so grateful for the incredible support team around me and for every person lifting me up through this journey.
