Pink Lemonade Bookstack 💞🍋

💌 What is a book character you wish you saw more of?

I feel like there is definitely already a tag of this but oh well I’ve made a new one 🤭 Tagged a few but feel free to join!

🩷Pink - a book about sisterhood
Hello Beautiful (a gorgeous gorgeous book)

🍋Lemons - a book that left a sour taste in your mouth
The Graveyard Shift (after loving if we were villains so much, I found it to be a bit of a let down 🫣)

🍓Strawberry - a comfort trope
Found Family (genuinely the only trope I ever need in a book; if you have any found family recs I’m always grateful)

🧂Sugar - a book character you wish you had more of
Spook (Mistborn) - his perspective in Hero of Ages was so gripping
The Ghost (The Cruel Prince) - he had such an interesting backstory, I wish we got more of him

💛Lemonade - a book character you found refreshing
Tress - so refreshing to have a gentle character portrayed as a strong heroine in a fantasy novel. Plus Tress loves collecting mugs which is just relatable

Everyone in this Bank is a Thief buddy read review

This has been another great buddy read with “the avengers of buddy reading” as I so lovingly call us. This is our second buddy read all together and it’s the best time reading with this group of people.

We can’t fit our reviews in the caption (we have to yap of course), so they are in the slides. Mars and Mads made the amazing slide (reviews + buddy read comments)! BEWARE OF SPOILERS. Bella took the amazing cover photo!

The best books to buddy read are mystery books. While we may not have all the answers like Ernest, (which is unfair since he knows the ending) we all try our best and put on our detective caps and grab a notepad and pen!

Buddy reading with this group is one of my favorite things in the world! And I cant wait to see what we pick up next ,maybe the new holly book in the works.

Greens for St Patrick’s Day? Groundbreaking. 🇮🇪🍀💚

Happy St Patrick’s Day to all who celebrate! It’s my dad’s birthday so, to me, it’s historically been more about cake than Guinness but I’ll happily partake in both!

I was also tagged in a ‘shades of green’ stack quite a while ago by my bestie @those_fantasy_book_feels so, happily, this fits the bill for that too! 🥰💚

I’ve tagged a few people - show me those green books! 💚📚 (If you want to - there’s absolutely no pressure!)

It’s World Book Day! And during the National Year of Reading too! I hope you’ve all had a a chance to read today amongst all of the costumes and busyness.
I thought I’d make post celebrating books and all the good things they’ve brought me!
Books have given me solace and escape when I have needed it most, they’ve given me a space to just *be*, without any expectations. Books have given me the opportunity to experience lives far beyond my own, and without them I genuinely would be an entirely different person.
Books have also lead me to this little corner of the internet where I have made some wonderful friends and I’m so very grateful for that. Very much worth saying that there are many more of you who should be on that slide but hopefully you know who you are!

Happy World Book Day, book lovers! 🥰📚❤️

it's my one year on bookstagram!! it's crazy this is something i managed to stick with considering it was a 2 am urge i went with on a whim. well it was a lifelong (as in 2016 when i started watching booktube) urge that i finally realized on a whim. i'm glad i followed it or else we would still be dreaming today.

honestly it hasn't felt like a year, maybe because i kinda abandoned the account for half of it. i'm still figuring out my style of content, or maybe i don't have one and i'll just keep doing whatever calls to me. but i've made peace with the fact that i don't have to be here all the time and that posting and interacting isn't an obligation (and that numbers aren't all that). i do have lots of goals for the future, like taking arc reading seriously (i received 3 arcs from netgalley last year and did not read a single one because i wasn't in the mood...) and eventually participating in influencer programs or whatever. but at the end of the day this is just my version of a digital diary that i started for fun. so i'm not gonna force myself to do anything i'm not up for at the moment. there will always be new books and authors and programs.

one thing i Do want to start doing soon is making real connections. i haven't been the best at dms and replies, so i'm sorry if i have accidentally left you hanging it's not personal... if you ask me how many friends i've made here i would say none. but i've had a lot of fun getting to know you guys through your posts and whenever someone new adds me to their close friends it always shocks me because wow you guys actually like me (i think). i've loved seeing glimpses of your lives beyond the books and i'm grateful for every little comment i've received. i promise i'll make more of an effort to befriend people this year.

that said, i've tagged some accounts i absolutely adore and have secretly been my biggest inspirations throughout the past year. whether it's your beautiful photos or creative editing or really honest captions, i've found myself looking through your pages first whenever i feel lost. i'm really glad i get to share a community with people like you guys. all of you really, thanks for sticking with me <3
