Medicine Festival, just wow 🫧🌻

🌀This summer for me has clearly been about fully reconnecting with joy & being so open to connection. I’m so grateful for all the beautiful humans who have been involved in shaping this for me.

✨Supporting at The Haven stage brought me so much confirmation & validation for where I’m currently heading, I am very grateful for this opportunity.

🧚‍♂️The most incredible few days connecting with some of the most fascinating, curious and intellectual minds, bringing so many sparks of inspiration.

I’m so excited for what’s being created!

We all know the feeling..
The apology comes too quickly.
It’s meant to lower the temperature, to stop the confrontation, to make everything "okay" again so we don't have to stay in the discomfort of what happened. It is an emotional eject button.

Saying sorry can be a challenge. Admitting you were wrong takes real courage and honesty.

But 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱 '𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗿𝘆' 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗽.
It can be a way to avoid true responsibility.
When we apologize only to escape the moment,
we aren't seeking to heal the connection—
𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁.

If the same behavior continues tomorrow,
the word 'sorry' was empty. It changes nothing.
It becomes a tool used to manipulate the other person into lowering their guard.
𝗜𝘁 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂, 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻'𝘁 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻.

🔸️LET'S CHANGE THE PRACTISE
When you are confronted with your own wrongdoing, don’t reach for the quickest words -
Pause.
Take it in. Let the discomfort sit in your body.

Before you speak, ask yourself:
‘𝘼𝙢 𝙄 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙡𝙮 𝙩𝙧𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙞𝙭 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙩, 𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙢 𝙄 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩
𝙩𝙧𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙥 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙖𝙙 𝙜𝙪𝙮?’

Making mistakes is human. It is how we respond to them that makes the difference.
Let this be our practise of empathy -
to truly think about the other person and their needs.
Next time you are called out, don't rush to clear your name.
𝗟𝗲𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀.

Authentic connection is build on truth and actions,
not just apologies.

Our 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱 is more than expression.
We learn to move through friction and into deeper honesty.
