In 2014 I started training jiu jitsu and at the same time @rondarousey was creating a new dynamic and standard of energy no one had done before Fast forward over a decade later I moved here to Vegas with plans not sure what would happen. What I thought I could do so easily didn’t go as planned. Yet but what did happen within just a couple months of being here, I became a part of this comeback story and watch her journey restart pretty much front row lol Sometimes I would just sit there in practice and ask myself how I’m even here. How did this happen. I used to watch her at white belt and couldn’t even fathom I’m contributing to her training. Just to sit in the sauna or ice bath to ask questions and absorb that kind of mindset is so much value. If you are in denial of that, you are ignorant. We both come from different worlds and somehow our missions crossed paths. To wake people up and make them feel something means you’re doing something of integrity and intensity. Many people have things to say, but I cannot deny the impact this experience will have in my life, and that’s all I can speak for. That’s the true beauty of this sport- as a martial artist you can fight for what you love and create art, not destroy, nor cause evil. I know how she welcomed me with no questions and being around that kind of compassion is something no one can sway me on bc I know the gravity of what she did and who she is. Last night will give me a world of inspiration on my own journey and the drive to continue inspiring others around the world. The white belt version of me would never believe where this sport would take me and that’s the truest power of a black belt we can hope to seek

It’s hard to believe over a month has passed since the 2026 PGF Season came to a close. Looking at this moment captured just before the team finale, the weight of the atmosphere returns. There is something profoundly humbling about watching a team full of warriors prepare for “battle” not with noise, but with quiet gratitude. While physical preparation is the foundation, it is the spirit that provides the “why.” We recognize that our strength is a gift, and taking a moment to acknowledge our blessings (family, brotherhood, and the opportunity to test our limits) is what gives purpose to the grind.
