SCULPTING WAYS OF LIVING
How Bushidō taught us to sculpt ourselves before we sculpt the world.

Architecture is a practice of constant refinement.
We spend our lives shaping spaces, resolving details, and searching for better ways to build. But before we can refine our craft, we must refine ourselves.
Through Bushidō, we explored discipline, presence, courage, humility, and mastery, not simply as principles of the warrior, but as disciplines that can guide the architect.

Each exercise became a reminder that the architecture we create is ultimately a reflection of who we are.

We practiced a single stroke, over and over again. Not to make the movement complicated, but to make the simple precise. To quiet the mind, discipline the body, and understand that mastery is built through repetition.

Throughout the retreat, we returned to the teachings of Miyamoto Musashi, words written centuries ago, yet remarkably relevant to the discipline of the architect today. His philosophy became a quiet thread running through our reflections, training, and conversations.

The following images capture some of those moments, each accompanied by a teaching from Musashi that resonated with our journey.

Before we sculpt spaces, we sculpt ourselves.
Before we master the craft, we master the self.

Sculpting Ways of Living 2026 Collection

"Sculpting Ways of Living" is our ethos.

Not as the act of designing buildings but a responsibility shaping human behavior. How we gather, rest, connect, travel and remember.

Over the years, that philosophy has found its way into our conversations, our sketches, our site visits, and our way of seeing the world.

Today, we're simply putting that philosophy onto something you can wear.

Because ideas deserve to live beyond drawings and construction sites.

This collection isn't about representing Cali Architects.

It's about representing your own way of thinking.

If our architecture has inspired the way you see spaces, we hope these pieces become another way to carry that belief with you.

Buildings are temporary. Culture lasts longer.

Welcome to sculpting your own way of living.

The feeling of exhausting the Life force in you yet your Spirit & Heart has expanded two folds (or three?) and its more than enough for the year!

Every workshop I held have felt like this. But this 8 days Training with 2 days Inner conditioning Workshop is definitely a crazy One.

It gave me energy and capacity to open & invite the space to people I love and meeting new people I know I would connect deeper in this lifetime.

It pushed me to hold space for Inner work not just experiencing the outer work of Natural Building. And both is deeply important.

It gave me a lot of full circle moments, crying every time that hits.

It gave me the courage to keep moving forward. Even if I don’t see the path every time. These moments & people shared me life & energy to continue with this work.

A deep reminder that people who wants nothing but goodness for the world - will have everything & more.

Nothing beats the Natural high of Being with other fellow Human envisioning, believing in Humanity & creating new paradigm where they are.

I had felt full in all aspect. And holding into this.. being deeply grateful. And that’s more than enough.

Yes we did alot of Mud Building. And More than that... We left some parts of Us, in our work and in Every One.

Inyaman u, inyaman tau.

The Brutal Collection, inspired by @amoncali x @marcjacobs. These two artists, although very different, both work synonymously with the environment around them. Shapes, silhouette, geometry and the beauty of organic nature defines every design choice I made, just as it does them.

"The key is learning that how much money you make is less important than who you spend your time with."

—Suits, We're Done, S4, Ep. 7

Looking back, I realize I’ve always just done what felt right—adapting, learning, and moving forward. From Jiu-Jitsu mats to football fields, from ADB forums to architect meet-ups, and late-night book talks with friends, and I'm grateful for those who've been part of it–crediting the value where its due! 🙇🏻‍♀️💐💛

𝗕+𝗔𝗯𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝟭𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿: 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼-𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 - The Complete Lineup!

At B+Abble, our core mission is to discover and share innovative ways to reflect cultural identity through the spaces, experiences, and objects that surround us—sparking deeper conversations about Contemporary Philippine Culture.

As an archipelago, the Philippines is a tapestry of diverse regions, each with its own cultural nuances, traditions, and distinct influences that shape architecture and design. We seek to explore how these regional differences—often subtle, yet deeply meaningful—impact design practices across the country. How do local contexts and identities inform creative practices, and how are these places and communities evolving through design?

In this spirit, we’ve brought together a dynamic group of leading practitioners from various industries to explore how intimate environments can be shaped to honor the unique soul of a place and its culture. Together, we’ll discuss how spaces not only reflect the identity of a region but also contribute to its growth and future development.

Join us on January 25, 2025 at The Corner House, San Juan City, for a day of inspiring talks, performances, and immersive experiences exploring the rich diversity of Philippine culture and design.

-Casa Borbon
-Architect: @caliarchitects
-Location:Batangas,Filipinler

Eng We believe that a house is a sculpture that we live in - that we shape our homes, which in turn shapes us - our activities, ideas, our way of life. We always strive to not just create art but rather envision the project’s natural environment as the canvas in which we work - where our client’s ideas are our materials, and our philosophy as a firm the guiding hand in which we trace and mold the sculpture that one day they might call home. This is how we worked with Casa Borbon, revealing in the environment the invisible sculpture that is nature’s masterpiece.
