POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Last month I set off to summit the tallest peak in the United States outside of Alaska with @thereason and @ampersandrew. Mount Whitney has a special ability to humble, to force submission to the process. God delivered a mighty sermon as we carefully walked the ledges of the High Sierra range, pulling the veil back just enough for a brief peek at the eternal. John Muir said such sights could only be accurately described in the language of angels. He is right, and as we approached the southern terminus on the very trail that bears his name, I can attest these cathedral spaces are not for the irreverent mortal. My cup runneth over with gratitude. Big thank you to @nikkipampalone @ladylincon katyhsmith for supporting us weirdos every year on these type of excursions. “Type 2 fun” we call these trips. Equally difficult and uncomfortable as they are rewarding. Must be a genetic defect in us, I guess. #mtwhitney #sierras #mountwhitney #johnmuirtrail #pacificcresttrail

Today’s the day. “Misspelled Words” is officially out into the world. Woke this morning to so much love and support, kind words, shares, and excitement—and as I reflect and write this my eyes are watering up. 🥺😭Feeling so thankful for the people who’ve helped me make this EP a reality, and those who’ve been behind me all along encouraging me to create.
I want to first thank my wife, @carleyesolomon. She was the first to hear each of these songs when they were little guppy ideas, and the first to pour into my hopes of recording them. She committed to the wild ride of marrying not only a musician, but me, and I’m way blessed. (The second pic is what I woke to this morn.)
I’m gonna do a whole other post on the players, engineers and designers who gave of their talents, but I want to go ahead and thank @caseywasner, who produced these tunes, gave of his time and mad music abilities, helped assemble the squad to play on these tunes, and helped me figure out how to articulate each song to where it made sense and came to life. We were trying to make 3 Frankensteins! 🧟‍♂️🧟‍♂️🧟‍♂️ He’s the kind of guy you want in your corner, and it was a joy to take trips down to TN, track at the Purple House and collaborate with him!
Thanks to everyone who’s been anticipating these recordings, and for the time you’ll share with them. I’m eternally grateful for your love an support. 🙌🏼 Enjoy!
