A slow afternoon with this sweet family.
The sound of the piano, Angus's laughter, Margot's little babbles, Maman and papa looking so proud & a fruit salad being shared on the kitchen counter .

What “story-led” actually means to me

I’m not chasing perfect smiles or moments that feel rehearsed.

I’m drawn to the quieter things. The way someone leans in without realising, the soft chaos, the pause between words, the feeling of being fully there without trying too hard.

The in-between has always mattered more to me than the obvious.

Story-led means letting people exhale.
Letting moments unfold instead of controlling them.
Trusting that what’s real is already enough.

Because the photographs that stay with us years from now usually aren’t the polished ones, they’re the ones that felt like home while we were living them.

This is why I work slower now.
Why I look for connection before perfection.
Why I care more about how something felt than how it looked.

There was something about those homemade videos we had as kids.

A kind of magic.

The shaky camera.
The uncontrollable laughter in the background.
The way everyone looked so real, not posed, not perfect… just us.

When you watch them back, you don’t just see the memory.
You feel it.

The facial expressions.
The little voices.
The way your mum looked at you.
The way your dad laughed.
The tiny moments you didn’t realise mattered at the time.

And that’s exactly why I’m so excited to now offer this alongside my sessions, capturing not just how your family looks, but living, breathing memories you can come back to years from now ✨

And it is done. 💕🙏✨

My final event for 2024 and my @premierelitepageants_official campaign ended on a blissful note with a lovely day of self care for all who attended.

The day played out differently from how most of us expected it to, but that’s what made it so wonderful.

Rather than rigidly sticking to my plan, we allowed the event to unfold as the energy dictated and what resulted was a day of heartfelt connections, intense healing, soul searching, introspection and a few giggles thrown in for good measure. Thanks to all of you for making it what it was. 💕💖✨

Although we didn’t quite hit my fundraising target, we still raised a nice little sum for @worthyaustralia so a big thank you to everyone who donated, support and contributed.

Thank you to all of my wonderful volunteers:

Facilitators:
@soundbirth_australia @theheartsanctuaryau @weavingwellness

Helpers:

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…

In this digital age where everyone’s behind the camera, there’s something CRUCIAL many of us miss:

Being IN the frame with our loved ones/children.

Why is this such a big deal?

Think about the stories you want to leave behind. Your presence in photos isn’t just about you, it’s about the legacy, the memories, and the tangible proof of love and connection.
When your children, years from now, flip through old albums or scroll through digital galleries, they won’t be looking for perfection.
They’ll be searching for proof of family life.
Fragments of their childhood that will spark that area of brain and you suddenly exclaim “Oh! I’d forgotten about how you used to sing that goofy song!”.
So, let’s not shy away or wait for the ‘perfect’ moment. Perfect is now. Perfect is the joy, the chaos, the everyday.
Next time you think about capturing memories, jump in the frame.

And if you need a little guidance on how to do it beautifully and authentically, I’m here to help. Let’s make sure your story is told, with you in it.

I recently turned 30 and Kaïa turned 2! Both such huge milestones, for me to have a 3 in front of my age but also for my baby to be a little 2 year old! It’s crazy how time flies. Some days I feel behind and some days I know that every thing is happening how it’s supposed to.
