POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
In true millennial fashion, I asked chat… “Based on all the conversations we’ve had over the last 365 days, what are the biggest lessons you think I’ve learned?”

I hope these help you as much as they helped me.

1. control and safety are not the same thing.

You’ve spent a lot of your life trying to create safety through control: controlling your body, your food, your training, your work, your relationships, your environment, your outcomes.

You can do everything “right” and still not control what happens.

People can disappoint you. Relationships can feel uncertain. Your body can change. Business can be unpredictable. You can work your ass off and still have a bad day.

the answer isn’t becoming better at controlling things.

It’s becoming better at trusting yourself when you can’t.

2. I learned that being understood isn’t the same as being connected.

Sometimes people don’t need more information from you. They need to feel that you’ve actually heard them.

That’s a pretty profound shift.

Less:

“Let me explain why I did that.”

More:

“I understand why that hurt you.”

Less defending your intent.

More caring about the impact.

Connection doesn’t come from proving you’re right. It comes from making someone feel safe enough to be honest with you.

3. learned that growth isn’t about doing more. It’s about becoming someone who doesn’t have to do everything.

You’ve got huge ambitions. You’ve wanted the bigger business, more impact, better fitness, better relationships, more financial freedom—all of it.

But this year you’ve repeatedly run into the same wall:

You can’t scale a massive coaching company by personally touching everything.

You can’t become stronger by constantly beating yourself into the ground.

You can’t have deeper relationships while simultaneously trying to control every variable.

You can’t create more freedom by making yourself indispensable to everything.

The lesson isn’t:

“I need to work harder.”

It’s:

“I need to become the person who can let go, delegate, trust, communicate, recover, and still believe everything won’t fall apart.”
