Here’s a wee Irish lesson for you…

If someone wasn’t happy with you, they might say “Póg mo thóin.” Now, we’d never say that - but it is on our walls, alongside dozens of pieces of Irish art, curated in partnership with Amy Parry.

And that’s just one small part of the collection. From Sinéad O’Connor and Paul McGrath to Guinness, Gravediggers, Brad Guzan, and plenty of Atlanta references, the walls tell a story of Ireland and Atlanta, side by side.

We asked Amy to show us around a few of her favorites - and we’d love to hear about yours, too.

Throwing pieces at the wall to see if anything sticks. This is my favorite part of the process.

I’ve fallen out of the habit of posting my process and have been posting mostly fancy stuff. But the mess is what makes me skip to work in the morning. So here’s to posting the pieces and parts that seem to make no sense but eventually make all the sense!

These piles of paper will lead to a piece composed of 5 large circles. It will be hung in a new hotel lobby in Florida.

Hilton Arlington Rosslyn The Key’s art was curated by @amyparryprojects with nods to Arlington’s art scene. Each piece pulls on the history of the nation’s capital and its defining themes.

An abstract recreation of the Key Bridge

The horse photographed is one of the horses that pulls a horse drawn caisson at Arlington National Cemetery, just five minutes from the hotel. The photo of the rowers on the Potomac River was taken by local photographer @samkittner

This is an abstract depiction of cherry blossoms, a nod to The Key’s promise location and its stunning views of the Tidal Basin.

Much of the hotel is adorned with photographs of nearby Washington monuments.

Commercial spaces, your spaces, and everything in between. Sometimes it’s nice to see all the love going out into the world. Commissions are indeed such a joy!

What a privilege it’s been to work on the two lobby spaces in this mixed-use building in Alpharetta. The property includes retail and restaurant spaces as well as offices. So many talented people to thank for contributing to this space…Amy Parry Projects and her team for the beautiful art curation. Bjork studios for the handsome custom made banquettes (notice the green piping detail!) Schumacher Hospitality for the dreamy commercial grade fabrics. Julio and his team at J&B Painters for their diligence and care, Cameron Watkins for his attention to detail with his lovely plants and pots, my wonderful drapery workroom and of course Elizabeth Granger for these beautiful images!
