What exactly is the Pourtlandia Project?

We sat down with Rob, the person behind it all, to talk about the inspiration for the project, why it matters, and what he hopes it brings to Portland.

Curious to learn more? Watch the full conversation.

Then join us this Thursday at the Portland Art Museum for the second Pourtlandia Project launch. Come try Zest of Art, explore the museum for free, and celebrate a project rooted in creativity, community, and the city we all love. 🍋🍻🎨

Throwback Thursday - Bar Top Buildout! 🤙
Throwback to a more simpler time

1. Framing & angled

2. Burning the wood for the bar jawn (I then scrape off the ash and reburn) - “Call me Burny Scrapers”

3. Finished T&G bar front - ( spray wit water, burn, 3-peat, polyurethane, repeat)

4. Attached & glued to bar

5. Old Growth Ponderosa Pine Slab on bar

6. Framing for the resin

7. Bar top complete - should we carry sake here? (Notice no bottles around top of beams)

8. Bar is open - Hey! That’s summer Zach from @unicorn.brewing

9. Michael Hurley enjoying a Pint of Unicorn Pilsner I believe. Rest in Peace, may your music intertwine with the forest spirits and free spirits of the world 🍻

10. @babehammer40k bartending the bar 🐉⚔️❤️

11. @amyruppelart enjoying the earliest cheese & pickles tasting possibly. Her beautiful art hangs right of the fireplace due North. Featuring the flying whale, and 1920’s mobster portraits of a polar bear & walrus 💕

12. The Bar as is. Not completed but still a live piece of artwork. Keep adding to it with us as we grow into something more 🌑

13. Thank you to everyone who has participated and supported this neighborhood, artistic, craft and quality forward space. 👽🍻

The monsters are out, the lights are low, and the beats are about to drop. 🎃💀
This Friday night, the Scream & Shout Ball takes over Gigantic! We’re turning the brewery into a full-on monster mash — fog, lights, DJ Love spinning eerie bangers, and a crowd that’s ready to dance ‘til the spirits rest.

Bring your best costume (we’ve got prizes — and a $100 Gigantic gift card for the top ghoul 👀 - top 3 win!), get a tarot reading from Deliah Alexandra, and let’s make this Halloween one to remember.

Friday, October 31
Gigantic Brewery – 5224 SE 26th Ave
21+ | $5 at the door | 7-11PM

Let’s scream. Let’s shout. Let’s dance. 🎃🖤

Huge shoutout to everyone who got glammed up, got down, and made our Enchantment Under the Sea Adult Prom an unforgettable night! From glitter to slow jams to that glorious Disco Shark, y’all brought the magic—and we’re still glowing.

We’re already scheming the next dance party (theme TBD but it’s gonna be wild). Stay tuned, prom royalty!

LOOK. We didn’t mean to go this hard, but here we are.

Fully Saturated Hazy IPA is juiced to the gills with tropical overload and citrus chaos — mango, punch bowl, hop-derived party time. We built it on Hop Quality Group #4, (that magical, limited-run tropical thiol fruit bomb), then stacked Citra Cryo, Simcoe, and Crystal on top because restraint is for pilsners.

Soft as hell. Loud as sin. Saturated to the point of absurdity. You’re gonna sip it and say, “oh wow, that’s just... a LOT.” Yeah. It is. That’s the point.

Also, the label art? Done by the incredible Amy Ruppel who paints dreamy Pacific Northwest scenes when she’s not crushing murals for children’s hospitals. We love her. You will too.

Now available in 16oz 4-packs and on draft at all three taprooms, along with awesome beer shops and bars around town. Bring a friend. Or don’t. Just bring your mouth.
