Some events are about raising money. Others remind you why the money matters. The Gala is both. ❤️

If you’ve attended this event in years past, (do you spot yourself?!) you know there’s something incredibly special about being in that room.

It’s beautiful, yes. The dresses, the tables, the atmosphere, the celebration. But it’s so much more than a lovely evening.

It’s the stories. The tears. The laughter. The friendships. The moments when you look around the room and realize just how many lives have been touched by metastatic breast cancer.

It’s remembering those we’ve lost, celebrating those who are still here, and holding on to the hope that research is creating for the future.

These photos are from years past, and I hope they give you a little glimpse of what makes this night so meaningful.

On Saturday, November 14, we’ll gather again for The Gala at Mystic Lake Event Center. This year, we’re bringing together the legacies of the Minneapolis Metsquerade and vraniCURE, united by one mission: funding research that will give people living with metastatic breast cancer more time.

And while this cause is deeply personal to me, I promise this isn’t an evening filled only with sadness. It’s an evening filled with joy, connection, celebration, and so much hope.

I’d love to see that room filled with people who believe, as I do, that we can make a difference.

If you’ve been thinking about attending, I hope you’ll join us. Bring your spouse, gather your girlfriends, make it a date night, or organize a table with friends. Come dressed up, enjoy a beautiful evening, and be part of something that truly matters.

I am beyond elated to be part of the Fashionopolis Committee, Club L’Étoile, for L’Étoile du Nord: A Fashionopolis Experience, presented by @mspmag on Friday, October 23, at @artsmia. I’m excited to see what @grantwcreative will produce this time around🥰

This will be my fourth year attending Fashionopolis, but this year is extra special! Not only am I serving on the committee, but I will also be showcasing three original couture designs made by me @qebellacouture for the very first time at Fashionopolis! ✨

I’m also excited to see my sister, the incredibly talented @bebezahara performing ! 💙

This evening will celebrate fashion, models, art, music, and our incredible creative community. Guests will also have the opportunity to experience Mia’s exclusive Paris Couture exhibition, included with admission.

The Grand Salon fashion show is selling out, but tickets are still available for The Twilight Soiree, beginning at 8:30 PM!

What an evening - the opening of Paris Couture at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts

This is a must see - the clothing spans through many centuries- the exhibition was so perfect you can clearly see the craftsmanship than makes couture so special - the beadwork the embroidery and the handmade pieces on display are an extraordinary display of fashion through the ages

Life has blessed me with some truly incredible opportunities, and I’m learning to treasure every single moment.

Thank you to everyone who continues to make space for this little roving florist as he tries to leave his mark on this beautiful world.

The bigger life gets, and the faster time seems to move, the more I find myself appreciating the smallest moments most: a conversation, a dinner, a familiar face, a room full of flowers, a few hours with people I love and admire.

I’m so grateful for the colleagues who became friends, the friends who became family, and this beautiful creative community that continues to welcome me home.

I’m deeply honored to be among you.

Happy Avant Garden week to all who celebrate. 🤩 The @walkerartcenter’s annual gala is coming up this Saturday, September 19th and I highly recommend getting tickets for the dance party, because it’s always epic. A bit steep at $150, but worth it and for a good cause..to support the arts. I run into friends from all walks of life from my old pre-kiddo book club to mom friends to PR clients to creatives and we’re all dressed up and dancing to the DJ (this year it’s @djskee) and it feels like a colorful fever dream that goes by way too fast.

The first two years I attended, I wore dresses off the rack or from Rent the Runway and then designer friends started offering to dress me…which is ridiculous, but makes it even more fab. And wound up on @mnmomag’s Best Dressed list and @mspmag’s Party Patrol because of them. I’m so excited to wear another creation from my incredibly talented friend @hihicreative who turned me into a life sized flower 2 years ago - but you’ll just have to wait til Saturday to see it. Stay tuned.✨💖✨

44 ✨ And my birthday wish is that this is only halfway.

I want another 44 years. I want to watch my kids grow up. I want to grow old with Kevin. I want to someday be a grandma. I want all the ordinary, beautiful things that come with getting older.

And I want that for every woman living with metastatic breast cancer.

The only way we get there is research.
