Amy's art teacher journey will begin soon, and I could not be more proud and excited. It was my great honor to be named an inspiring educator at the onset of her journey (my daughter got in on the action too! 😆)

Big congratulations to Amy, Robby, Charlie, Cloe, Ava, Brandon, Emma, and Natalie for having their artwork chosen by artist and juror, Nancy Grimes, for display in the St. Louis Artist’s Guild Young Artists Showcase!!

The reception is free and open to the public in the beautiful downtown Clayton gallery space, this Friday from 5-8pm. I’m so excited to celebrate and to see the amazing artwork from other young artists from the St. Louis region.

The cheese teapot is FINISHED!!
Amy worked so hard and we had so many great, weird conversations throughout this process about how cheese might crumble if a mouse poked its head through it, what tiny bite marks look like, and whether a mouse’s tail color should match its nose 😁

When Amy asked for guidance on her concept for a sculptural teapot, I pretty much knew that it would need to somehow involve mice and cheese.

There is a lighthearted, joyful quality that Amy exudes (iykyk) and I think that this little teapot is starting to capture those qualities. It’s very exciting.
