TABLESCAPES - SUMMER EDITION

✏ 24.06.23
💫 A design & ceramics workshop by @geograficaceramica and @anagramma_studio
📍hosted by @le_mole_sul_farfa

IN BRIEF ~
During this one-day workshop you can immerse yourself in the creative process through clay and experience the wonder of creative manifestation. With the guidance of ceramicist-designer Karla Sotres and the architect-designer duo Ambra and Tea Scarsella, you will:

• Learn the basic manipulation techniques for modelling this material: pinch, slab and potter's wheel.

• Choose the shape, material (stoneware, porcelain or earthenware) and the most suitable finishing for your idea.

• Design, make and bring home 3 ceramic objects, unique and unrepeatable, for your table.

The day will be articulated by slow and pleasant rhythms, including a lunch break, coffee and snack carefully prepared by Elisabeth De Coster, cook and owner of “Le Mole sul Farfa”.

Still coming down from our first Gatherings event last weekend.
Amazing people, amazing setting. All in all a day to remember!

Gearing up now for our second Gatherings, happening July 10th.

The event will kick off at 3 pm to fully enjoy the natural setting @le_mole_sul_farfa. Come and enjoy the pool for the day, take a walk around and learn the history at the Villa Romana, and then I'll prepare a 4 course vegetarian dinner with all local products from small producers and farmers of the Sabina area.

Save the date; JULY 10TH!!!

Less than a week until the next Gatherings event @le_mole_sul_farfa

I'm so excited to share the flavors of the Roman countryside with everyone coming this weekend. Honoring the farmers and artisans of the Sabina area outside of Rome and highlighting the ingredients in season at this moment in the summer.

I love starting a meal with a fritto misto of different vegetables from @le_spinose. A light batter to give a crunchy contrast to the vegetables, along with a cool sheep's milk yogurt sauce from @ecofattorie_sabine

[ Unplugged ]

To listen to my voice, feel my heartbeat, charge me with sunlight, delve into my dreams, expand my aurora, cover me with stars, caress your cheek, embrace your nights, kiss your lips, sing my mornings, walk in search of secrets, travel by train, make kintsugi, call my mum in the evenings, guffawing with my sister, waiting for the soup to cool, activating the sourdough, slowly modelling clay with my hands on the terrace, collecting leaves, talk hours with a friend, smelling the perfume of mushrooms and moss, walking in the forest, lighting the fireplace, reading a book, drawing my fantasies. ... a whole real world is waiting for me.

See you here after 15 November.
Messages and direct communication only via email or live chats directly in my homestudio ♡
With love,
Karla
