POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The movers are on their way this morning and now I’m in my PCS feels. 🥹 I don’t have the words yet so I’ll just borrow song lyrics for now.

I’ll be rewatching this reel for months to come when I’m missing the endless Hawaii summer, my children’s laughter at the beach, and the family I made here. 💙

Childhood is about so much more than just screens. 🌿✨

Whether you support the new social media restrictions or not, one thing remains true:
children thrive when they have opportunities to explore, play, create, and connect with the world around them.

A walk outdoors, a story at the library, imaginative play, meaningful conversations, and moments to express their feelings all contribute to healthy development and lasting memories.

At Guardian Gems, we believe in creating spaces where children can learn, grow, and flourish both online and offline.

What are some of your favourite screen-free activities for children? We’d love to hear your ideas below. 💚

Kids definitely hear us…

they just decide when it applies 😅

Some things we say sound more like suggestions to them.

And somehow… we keep repeating it anyway 😭

You said no…

They heard:
“This is the worst thing that has ever happened” 😭

The drama?
Unmatched.

If you know… you know 😅

Before kids, some things just sound so simple 😅

“We’ll leave quickly”
“They’ll eat when they’re hungry”
“Bedtime will be easy”

Then real life happens…

And you realise it’s not about doing everything perfectly
it’s about adjusting, learning, and sometimes just laughing through it.

If you know, you know 🤍

It’s easy to look back on the day and focus on what didn’t go right…

The moments you were tired
The times you felt a bit distracted
The things you didn’t get to

But your child?

They noticed something else.

They felt your presence.
They felt your care.
They felt safe with you.

And sometimes… that’s more than enough 🤍

Still learning this too, one day at a time.

This is your reminder to slow down 🤍
Not every day needs to be full.
Not every moment needs to be loud.

Sometimes the quiet moments…
are where children feel safest.
At Guardian Gems, we create space for calm, connection, and gentle care.

Monday mornings can feel like a lot… especially with little ones 😅

Some days it feels rushed.
Some days it feels like everything is happening at once.

We’ve just been trying a few small things that make it slightly easier:

Packing bags the night before
Having snacks ready
Laying outfits out early

They are not perfect, just small habits that take a bit of pressure off in the morning.

I am still figuring it out as we go 🤍

Some days feel like a lot.

For them.
And honestly… for us too.

I’m learning that not every moment needs fixing, some just need slowing down.

And in that calm, everything feels a little easier 🤍

I think every parent has asked this question at some point…

“Am I doing enough?”

On the busy days, the overwhelming days, the days that don’t go as planned, it’s easy to feel like you’re falling short.

But children don’t measure love in perfection.

They feel it in:
• your presence
• your patience
• your effort to keep showing up

And that matters more than we realise 🤍

Every child deserves a space where they feel seen, supported, and inspired to learn. 🤍📚

Our CEO, Toluwalope Dipeolu, shares the vision behind “Read with Doja” an inclusive reading community created to encourage children to develop a love for reading while feeling safe, confident, and included.

Through monthly book reviews, conversations, and engaging activities, children can relax, learn, and explore stories in ways that suit their unique learning styles.

whether they are visual learners, hands-on learners, or need extra support along the way.
Because when children discover the joy of reading, they also build imagination, confidence, and a lifelong love for learning.

If you would like your child to be part of this beautiful community, we would love to hear from you.
